Chapter 4-Four

HANNI LUCRETIA LORENZO POV

After one week, luckily the manager of Clarence called my editor-in-chief and requested for me.

At the moment, I am inside a taxi going to the place where we were supposed to meet with Clarence.

Then a new number called me, I answered and upon hearing his voice I felt a shiver on my spine. It was him.

" Forgot about me? " He said.

" N-no! Of course no. I was just waiting for your call,, actually." I lied and laugh a little to hide it.

" Ows? " He said in an obvious way of teasing me knowing that I'm lying.

" I'll send you a villa address, come now. " He said.

" I--- I'm really busy right now. " I closed my eyes hoping that he won't insist on meeting with me right now.

" Then I will come to you then. Where are you? " He said.

" Look, I'm really trying my best to earn money to pay you. Can you reconsider? " I pleaded.

" Are you trying to go back on your words now? This really happens when I'm trying to be nice. " He said.

" Forget about your father's life but what about your career. A journalist who is working under a famous station. You tried your best to be there, what will happen if I happened to crashed it. " He said with his warning tone.

I sighed.

I wanted to cry again, I remember all my hard works just to enter the station.

I closed my eyes.

If I choose him this time, I can have a next story and my editor-in-chief will be disappointed.

But if I will insist on this interview with Clarence, I know he's not joking, and he has ways to let the people in the station be in danger.

" My child can't wait to be born, and I need to work hard from now on. " He said.

Salvatore is joking or not with his words but something in me is excited.

Still, the other part of me is scared.

" Please, change location. We'll go this villa." I said to the taxi driver.

The car and his driver are outside the villa. I was confused to see the villa is empty, it's quite new, actually.

I walked inside and see Salvatore standing in front of the big door of the villa.

He was there standing staring the inside of the villa alone, he felt my presence and turned around.

" Here you are. " He said.

I slowly walk going to him.

" Do you like it? " He asked.

" Big. " I answered.

" It's ours. Starting from today, this is where you will live And a place for us. " He said.

" Wh- what?! Wh-why?! " I'm shocked.

" You will bear my child remember? " He's not joking at all.

I am upset and shocked at the same time.

" If you wanted a child, you can have anyone you like! But- but not me! This is nonsense! I will you back the money! I will work for the rest of my life! I promised I won't hide! But--" I'm beyond scared.

" I hate people who go back on their words. " He said with a warning.

" Why are you doing this to me? " I asked with tears on my eyes.

" To have children. " He answered.

" You're here! " A woman behind us came.

She's wearing a pencil dress with papers on her hands and a pen.

She offered a handshake.

" I'm Laura, his lawyer. " She introduced herself.

I accepted her hands.

" Hanni.. " I said with a doubt.

" He told me about you, don't think too much. I have the contract. As long as you'll give him a child, whether a son or a daughter then the contract ends. You can go far away from him or just do what you wanted to do, leaving him the child. And you can leave a billionaire, without paying your father's debt. So as soon as you'll get pregnant, the sooner you can be free. " Laura explained.

I swallowed my saliva, thinking that they are crazy.

" I just wanted to know why me? Out of all women around here in this city, why me? " I asked.

"The truth is, only my client knows. " Laura smiled giving me a' can't do anything' look.

Laura handed over the contracts, and I was about to read it when Salvatore talks.

" Should walk around our house? " He said.

I didn't quite read most of the details because we are walking, and he is asking questions, such as 'do you like it?' Or ' Is it okay with you ?' questions.

When we are in the terrace, I just sign it.

" I still need to go and fetch my things. " I told them.

" Oh! No need to be troubled about it, I told my men to be careful of your things. " Salvatore said.

" What?! " I am surprised.

" Well, now that we start to live with each other. I think it's time for you to lessen your shocked moments? " Salvatore said.

" I'm leaving you two lovers here then. Enjoy. " Laura said and smile then walked away.

It was fast, I'm not exaggerating when I said that it was like a nightmare.

His men came with my things, they arranged everything inside the villa.

But one thing that I noticed was that he doesn't have maids or women aside from his lawyer Laura.

Every worker under him was a male.

Everything is settled, and now is time for dinner.

I was weak and sweating as I felt my menstrual cramps.
