chp:1 the beginning

1 year ago Ethan and Helen were appointed as new colleagues in a company. There they saw each other for the first time. Helen's friends set up a blind date for Helen with Ethan without each other knowing when they both arrived at the date they were shocked to see each other. They talked and found out they had many things in common. Soon Ethan proposed to Helen and she excepted it. Everything was going perfect Helen thought this is the life she wants forever. They were enjoying their lives. But one day, at Julian's (Ethan's best friend) birthday party Ethan saw Julian's sister "Maddy" he felt an unexpected connection towards her. After that day onwards Ethan started drifting away from Helen. He was on his phone bit longer and talked lesser to Helen. During hangouts, he talked to Maddy a lot. Helen noticed something was wrong. Ethan was never like this. She thought to confront him about it, but when she came to him Ethan said he wants to break up! "Why? What happened you've been acting strange lately and not you want a break-up???" Helen said in a little worry. Ethan answered "I'm sorry but I don't think that this is working out anymore".

Helen said in surprise" What? You think this is not working out? "

Ethan said"yes, I'm sorry I'm falling out of love, and it doesn't feel the same anymore "

Helen answered on the verge of tears"what did I do wrong ! Please tell me I'll try to fix it please just don't leave me please!!!!

Ethan felt slightly guilty "it's not your fault Helly! I just don't feel like it's working it's best for us to be apart "

Hellen *shocked*" What ? Apart?

Ethan" yes Helly that's best for both of us"

Helen" wait no no I don't want to end this please "

After that Ethan left poor Helen all alone. She cried for days thinking what could have possibly gone wrong for it to have it end like this?. After few weeks, a news spread in the office that Ethan had proposed to Maddy and had asked her out on a date. At that time Ellen realized why Ethan must have broken up with her. She thought was the reason to their breakup was so that Ethan could get with Maddy?. She thought to herself' if that's the reason then what does Maddy have that she didn't?

After their break up Ethan at least spoke to her, greeted her but since he got Maddy as his girlfriend everything stopped.Ethan didn't even look at her the way he used to. this hurted Helen a lot.
