"Interesting, I only heard that in myths" She joked, only this time she spoke, whispering softly in my ear. She has a nice voice- I thought to myself wanting to hear more.

" By the way I'm Annabelle. My friends call me Anna or Belle" She said with a smile.

Suddenly we heard the bell ring. It was now breaktime and she didn't seen to want to leave my side. I was happy. We talked about stupid stuff, laughing at eachother's corny jokes and telling stories about ourselves to eachother which was mostly her since my life isn't all that interesting. She told me how she like to sing but she could never do it infrount of people. She and I debatted what is the best icecream flavour and talked about her pets (she had a lot). I liked her company and I hope she liked mine too. The next set of classes she was sitting in assigned seats on the other end of the classroom but as soon as lunchtime came around she was using the teacher's chair to sit by my table and we continued our conversation. She showed me her dogs using her phone.

"Aren't they cute?" She asked looking lovingly at her phone.

" She looks like she gives you trouble" I said.

She laughed before saying," She does but she's also the one with more personality. I love her for it"

" Wait... I'm sensing something... I'm sensing there is some favoritism here" I said.

" What??? No.... I'm a parent love both her children evenly......" She starts to defend with but when she turned to look at me, she saw a expression on my face which perfectly showed Really? Come on now, Really?

" No, you are right. There isn't one parent who doesn't have favorites. But listen... I try to give both the same treatment" She defended successfully.

" I can't blame you. I too have a favorite pet" I revealed.

She gasped dramatically.

" How could you?" She said before leaning in and asking softly," Is it Lexi?"

" Yeah" I responded back laughing.

" I can't blame" She said

Her laughter and mine's merged into one thick storm that didn't dissipate for a while. Before I knew it school was over and I was going to walk home.... alone when suddenly I saw Annabelle walking that way too. Her friends was crowded around her and she was laughing.

" Belle" I called out and saw her face brighten unless that was just me. She ran away from her friend group and greeted me, " Hey"

" Wait, are you stalking me?" She asked playfully.

" Asked the one who constantly came and sat by me" I responded just as playfully.

" Touche" She said holding my arm and pulling me to introduce me to her friends.

" Guys, this is Alex Langton, from our class" She announced introducing me.

" Wow.... full government name and everything?" I said before saying," Hey, I'm Alexis Langston. Most people call me Alex but some of my friends call me Langie"

" Langie?" She asked covering her mouth to prevent her from laughing.

" It's an inside joke with my friends ok?" I responded embarrassed.

" Ok Langue but whatever it is, I want in" She said going on her tippy toes but still not quite reaching my height. As she latched unto me for balance, I laughed as she didn't quite reach my height.

" Ok, short stuff" I said pushing her head down to reveal how short she really is.
