When they returned to the manor, Aurora felt a strange weight upon her. That sudden surge of anger and justice she had felt while helping the child in the alley was like a spark that didn't belong to the foreign body she inhabited. Would the ruthless Aurora Vancroft have done such a thing? She didn't think so. Perhaps this new body offered her the chance to become a completely different person.

That night, as she lay in bed, her mind was still filled with the events of the day. The fearful faces of those thugs, the grateful look in the little boy's eyes, and the curious gaze of that mysterious royal stranger... They all replayed in her mind over and over.

The next morning, when she sat across from Lord Vancroft at the breakfast table, the man's face held its usual cold and distant expression. Aurora had thought she would be scolded for going out yesterday, but her father said nothing about it. Perhaps he didn't even care what she did.

As they ate their breakfast in silence, Aurora suddenly couldn't help but ask a question that had come to her mind. "Lord Vancroft," she said, her voice devoid of its usual timidity, "do I know how wealthy our family is?"

Lord Vancroft set down the scroll resembling a newspaper he was holding and looked at Aurora, his brow furrowed. "Where did that come from? Of course, you know. The Vancroft family is one of the oldest and wealthiest families in this kingdom." A slight pride could be detected in his voice.

"So... if I wanted to, could I buy almost anything?" Aurora asked, fixing her curious gaze on her father.

Lord Vancroft chuckled derisively. "Don't exaggerate, Aurora. But yes, the Vancroft fortune is quite substantial. We have the power to acquire almost anything you desire."

Aurora was surprised by what she heard and also felt a slight sense of satisfaction. Having such great power... This could be an opportunity to survive in this new world and perhaps even change some things. She had been able to help that child in the alley because she had money. Maybe she could use this wealth for better purposes.

As the days passed, Aurora began to move more comfortably around the manor. She talked to the servants more, asked them questions, and tried to learn more about this new world. Martha was her greatest help. The old woman patiently told Aurora about the history, traditions, and even what she knew about magic in this world.

Aurora also began to observe her relationship with her family. Lord Vancroft was still distant and cold, but sometimes, when Aurora showed unexpected kindness or asked an intelligent question, a brief expression of satisfaction would appear on the man's face. Her mother, Lady Vancroft, usually lay in bed ill and didn't pay much attention to Aurora. However, a few times, when Aurora entered her mother's room, she felt the woman looking at her with sad eyes. Perhaps there were secrets waiting to be unraveled behind this cold and distant family.

Aurora was slowly beginning to understand the extent of their enormous wealth. The size of the manor, the lands they owned, the jewelry, the works of art... Everything was breathtaking. And holding this power gave Aurora a strange sense of satisfaction. She could never have even imagined such power in her own world. Perhaps this new life would open completely different doors for her.

One afternoon, while wandering through the manor's vast library, an old bound book caught her attention. Strange symbols and writing in an incomprehensible language were on the cover. Giving in to her curiosity, she took the book off the shelf and began to turn its pages. Among the pages were drawings, magical recipes, and pictures of different creatures. Aurora's heart began to beat with excitement. Magic... this book must hold the secrets of magic.

Just then, the library door opened, and Lord Vancroft entered. Aurora quickly tried to hide the book behind her back, but her father had seen her.

"What's that, Aurora?" Lord Vancroft asked, his voice curious but still authoritative.

Aurora hesitated. "Oh... it was just a book."

Lord Vancroft approached and took the book from Aurora's hand. He looked at the symbols on the cover, and a slight displeasure appeared on his face. "This is one of our family's old books of magic. Don't meddle with these. They could be dangerous for you."

"Dangerous? Why?" Aurora asked, her curiosity piqued even more.

"These books contain powerful spells. If you try to use them carelessly, you could harm yourself. Leave these matters to the mages." Lord Vancroft put the book back on the shelf.

But an idea had taken root in Aurora's mind. Perhaps in this new world, she had an undiscovered magical power within her. And learning this power could offer her a purpose in this foreign body and perhaps even a way back to her own world.

From that day on, Aurora secretly entered the library and began to read that old book of magic. She tried to decipher the words in the language she didn't understand, examined the drawings, and slowly began to learn the secrets of magic. This new discovery gave her a real excitement for the first time in this foreign life. Aside from the enormous wealth they possessed, there was also magic in this world, and perhaps she was also a part of this power...
