Rebirth : Twin Destiny
Hi friends, welcome back 💖
Lets start the story
She stood there, numb, her world collapsing around her.
Through the glass wall of the office, her eyes fixated on the man she loved—her boyfriend—wrapped in the arms of another woman. Their lips met in a kiss so familiar, so intimate, it felt like a dagger twisted into her heart.
Tears welled up, but she blinked them back, her body frozen in disbelief. Her fingers trembled at her sides. She took a silent step back, then another, her breath catching in her throat as her vision blurred.
Without a word, she turned and walked out.
The moment the office doors closed behind her, the dam broke. Her sobs escaped in harsh gasps as she stumbled toward her car. The luxury vehicle gleamed under the afternoon sun, but it offered no comfort. She got in, slammed the door shut, and drove away with trembling hands gripping the wheel.
Tears streamed down her face. Her heart raced with a thousand thoughts—Was it always a lie? Was I the fool all along?
Just then, her phone rang.
She glanced at the screen.
Sister calling.
She sniffled, wiped her tears hurriedly, and tried to steady her voice. She couldn’t let her sister hear her like this.
But when she answered, it wasn’t her sister's voice that greeted her.
A low, chilling laugh came from the other end.
“I’m sending you a location,” a man said coldly. “Come alone… or you’ll never see your sister alive again.”
Before she could respond, the call cut off.
Panic surged through her chest.
She frantically dialed her sister’s number again—once, twice, thrice—but the phone was off. Her fingers trembled as she opened the message with the location: an address far outside the city, isolated and unfamiliar.
Her first instinct was to call Mihir—her sister’s husband—but the stranger’s threat echoed in her ears. Come alone.
Her hands clenched the steering wheel. She had no choice.
She turned the car around and sped toward the edge of the city.
Thirty Minutes Later
She pulled up outside an abandoned construction site.
The building stood like a skeleton, half-finished and eerily quiet, swallowed by the silence of the outskirts. Dust rose around her as she stepped out of the car, each step heavy with dread.
She walked cautiously, the uneasy silence pressing in on her like a suffocating fog. Her instincts screamed at her to turn back. I should’ve told Mihir, she thought. Why didn’t I call him once?
Her fingers reached into the pocket of her jeans, brushing the edge of her phone.
But before she could pull it out—
A rough hand grabbed her wrist, yanking it back.
She gasped, turning to find herself surrounded. Four towering men circled her. One of them ripped the phone from her hand. Another pressed the cold mouth of a gun against her temple.
"Walk," the man growled.
Her legs turned to lead, but she obeyed, heart pounding, hands shaking, breath shallow. They led her toward one of the dark structures at the far end of the site.
Inside, dim light filtered through a broken window.
And then she saw him.
A man sat on a chair, arms resting casually, as if he’d been waiting. He looked up slowly as she entered.
His gaze swept over her with the kind of filth that made her skin crawl.
He smirked.
She felt her stomach twist in fear and disgust.
And she knew—this was just the beginning.
Friends, that's all for today. I will write the rest in the next part.
Bye...
