Chapter 10 : Love Takes Flight

The hum of the airplane filled the cabin with a soft lull. Warm cabin lights shimmered above, casting a golden halo around the two figures nestled by the window in first class. Plush seats reclined comfortably, champagne flutes sparkled on the tray, and soft jazz played in the background.

Taehyung leaned back in his seat, his hand loosely holding Jungkook’s fingers. He wore a loose cream sweater and beige slacks, hair tousled, eyes soft as he looked at the boy beside him.

Jungkook had taken the window seat, his eyes glued to the view outside. Stars scattered across the velvet sky, and the city lights below flickered like distant dreams. A thick blanket was draped over his lap, his bare feet tucked under him as he leaned slightly against Taehyung.

“Are you comfortable?” Taehyung asked quietly, voice a low murmur meant only for him.

Jungkook nodded, then picked up the small notepad the airline had provided and scribbled:

This feels like a dream.

Taehyung smiled and pressed a gentle kiss to the top of his head. “Then I hope you never wake up.”

When dinner was served, Jungkook giggled silently at the tiny butter cubes shaped like hearts. He poked at his dessert—a pastel-colored macaron pyramid—with childlike wonder. Taehyung watched him with soft eyes, barely touching his own food, too distracted by Jungkook’s innocent delight.

At one point, Jungkook tapped his shoulder and pointed out the window.

There, high above the clouds, a crescent moon hung like a charm in the sky.

He smiled and signed with a glowing expression:

Your ring has the moon on it.

Taehyung chuckled and signed back with one hand:

Because my moon is right beside me.

Jungkook blushed, tugging his blanket over half his face.

[The next morning in the land of Paris]

The plane touched down with a soft thud, wheels humming against the runway as dawn spilled golden light across the city of love. From their window seat, Jungkook gazed out, his breath fogging the glass ever so slightly. The Eiffel Tower was just a silhouette in the distance, but it already felt like a dream.

As they stepped out of the terminal, the Parisian air welcomed them—cool, crisp, kissed with the scent of croissants and old-world charm. Taehyung adjusted the scarf around Jungkook’s neck with careful fingers, brushing a soft kiss against his temple. Sunglasses rested lazily on both of them, though the sun had only begun to rise.

A sleek black luxury car stood waiting for them at the curb, driver in uniform already holding open the door. Everything was perfect. But then—

Jungkook tugged gently at Taehyung’s sleeve.

Taehyung turned, brows raising slightly. “Hmm?”

Jungkook’s eyes sparkled—bright, alive, curious. Like a boy chasing a feeling. He shook his head, then raised his hands to sign,

Let’s take the metro.

Taehyung blinked. “The metro?”

Jungkook nodded eagerly, his lips curling into a smile that reached his eyes.

I want to see the real Paris, he signed slowly, beautifully,

Not through tinted windows. But right beside you. Among people. Among stories.

Taehyung’s chest tightened at the simplicity of it. The honesty. The boy in front of him wasn’t looking for grandness—he was looking for meaning. For memories.

And in that moment, nothing sounded more romantic than the rattle of a metro car and a seat beside Jungkook.

So he reached down, laced their fingers, and smiled.

“Then let’s see the city. Your way.”

And just like that, they turned from the luxury and stepped toward adventure—hand in hand, hearts open, laughter already tucked into their scarves.

Because this wasn’t just Paris.

It was their Paris.

And it was already unforgettable.
