PART:4

Soo-ah P.O.V

I see the truck speeding toward me. My body freezes in place, terror gripping me so tightly that I can't even move.

"Soo-ah!" Ji-woon shouts my name, his voice desperate. Before I can react, he runs toward me, placing himself between me and the truck, trying to protect me.

But it's too late. The impact is brutal. Pain explodes through my body, sharp and unbearable. I can't move. My vision blurs, but I manage to turn my head slightly. Ji-woon is lying beside me, covered in blood.

"...Ji-woon... I... I'm sorry..." My voice comes out weak, broken. "...Because of me... you're in this condition... You tried... to save me... but you ended up like this... I... I'm sorry..."

People rush toward us, their voices blending into a distant noise. My body feels heavier with every passing second.

"Ji-woon... I hope you survive... Even if I die here... I know you have your dreams to achieve... Best of lu-"

My breath slows. Darkness takes over, and my eyes close.

---

Birds chirp. Their soft sounds pull me back to consciousness.

My eyes flutter open, and I see a ceiling-ornate, beautifully designed. Confused, I sit up and look around. The room is stunning-spacious, elegant, filled with beautiful decorations, a large bed, and cute aesthetic things I've always dreamed of having.

But... why am I here?

The last thing I remember is...

"Ji-woon!! No, no, what happened after that?! And how the hell am I here all of a sudden-"

Panic rises inside me. Before I can think further, a knock sounds at the door. A soft voice follows.

"Princess... you're awake?"

I freeze. Did she just call me... Princess?

The door opens, and a woman steps in, dressed like a maid. She's pretty, but that's not what shocks me the most.

"Are you... talking to me?" I ask, pointing at myself.

She chuckles, looking a little confused. "Of course, Princess. Who else?"

Princess? What the hell is she talking about? I decide to get some answers.

"Hey! Just answer my questions, okay? No asking me anything in return."

She seems taken aback but nods.

"First question-who am I?"

She blinks at me before replying. "You are Princess Choi Yuri, the Princess of Gumyo Kingdom."

My breath catches. What? That's not my name.

"Second question-who are you?"

"I am your personal maid, Hori," she says with a bright smile.

I barely process that before she suddenly rushes forward, looking urgent.

"Sorry, Princess, but you need to get ready! Today is your wedding ceremony!"

"What?! Wedding?! With whom? And why?!"

Hori frowns. "Princess, this isn't the time for jokes. Please, wash your face. I'll bring your dress."

Before I can protest, she pulls me to a bathroom and leaves. I stand in front of the mirror, and what I see almost makes me scream.

The girl staring back at me isn't... me.

"What the-who is this?!"

I touch my face, my fingers trembling. My features are different. More delicate, elegant.

"This isn't... Am I dreaming?"

I pinch my cheek.

"Ow! Damn, that hurts!"

It's real. This is real.

Then, recognition hits me like a storm.

"I've seen this face before... In that novel-'The Cheongryong Empire'!"

Memories flood my mind. The villainess, Choi Yuri. The arrogant, attention-seeking princess who despised the heroine.

She's like winter wrapped in silk—still, elegant, dangerous.

Her hair flows like moonlight spun into strands, pure white and cascading down her back with an effortless grace that makes time seem to slow around her. Each step she takes whispers power, her heels clicking like a countdown to destruction masked in beauty.

Her skin glows like porcelain kissed by moonlight—flawless, cold, untouchable. Eyes? A contradiction. Icy silver, shimmering with the innocence of a fallen star… and yet, behind that soft shimmer, something darker pulses. Like a secret. Like a warning.

Her face is sculpted perfection—sharp cheekbones, a soft mouth painted with a shade of red too bold to be innocent, and lashes so dark they could cut through silence. She smiles like a saint, but her gaze burns like sin.

She doesn’t walk—she commands. Draped in deep velvet and laced silks, her gown kisses the floor as she moves, yet it feels like the ground itself shifts to honor her presence.

She is the kind of beauty that tempts you closer, just before she breaks your heart—or your soul.

They call her angel.

But only the foolish forget that Lucifer was once heaven’s brightest light.

And then it clicks.

"When I was dying... I was holding that novel... Did I... reincarnate into it?"

A knock interrupts my spiraling thoughts.

"Princess, are you ready?" Hori calls from outside.

I take a deep breath.

"Y-Yeah, just five more minutes!"

I splash water on my face, trying to calm down.

"If I got reincarnated... that means I died in my real life. But what about Ji-woon? Did he... survive?"

I shake my head. No. I can't think like that. Ji-woon always said he wouldn't die before achieving his dreams. He must be okay... right?

I step out, and Hori helps me into my wedding gown. She watches me carefully.

[Princess yuri look]

"Princess... You seem different today. Usually, you'd be shouting at me to do things better... but today, you seem... changed."

I freeze. Crap.

I force a nervous laugh. "Oh, well... People change after marriage, right?"

She seems convinced and nods.

"Hm... Princess, after marriage, you will be Kim Yuri, Queen of Cheongryong Kingdom. But I worry... how will you adjust to a new place with new people?"

I glance at her reflection in the mirror. In the novel, Hori was loyal to Yuri until the very end... but Yuri never appreciated her. In the end, she let Hori die like she was nothing.

Not this time.

"Hey, Hori... Why don't you come with me to Cheongryong as my personal maid?"

Her eyes widen. "P-Princess...? But-"

"Come on. It'll be fine. I need someone I trust by my side."

She hesitates before nodding, smiling gratefully.

The carriage ride to the wedding venue is surreal. I stare out the window, trying to process everything.

"In the novel, this marriage happens because of a contract. Gumyo and Cheongryong were enemies for years, but after countless wars, both kingdoms decided to form a truce. The condition? A marriage between me-Choi Yuri-and Prince Kim Sung-min."

Before I can think further, the carriage stops. Hori helps me out, and my breath catches.

The venue is breathtaking. Just like it was described in the novel.

As I walk down the aisle, holding a bouquet of flowers, my eyes lift to meet my groom's.

And when Prince Kim Sung-min turns to look at me-

I nearly scream in my head.

"WHY IS HE SO FREAKING HANDSOME?!"
