COURSED DEVOTION ( Taekook)
The road to the shrine
jungkook and taehyung drove for hours. The roads narrowed. The air grew colder. Trees leaned in, branches like crooked arms pulling us deeper into the forest. It felt like crossing into a different world—one where time didn’t work the same.
They passed a rusted gate tied shut with red thread and old paper talismans. Jungkook stopped the car.

This is it,” he whispered. “The boundary.”

“Looks like a bad omen,” I muttered.
He grinned, reaching for the camera.

“Looks like content.”
The locals in the nearby village didn’t speak unless spoken to. And even then, they only warned us in fragmented, hushed tones.
> “Don’t look directly at the statue’s eyes.”
“Don’t chant with the wind.”
“Don’t let the shrine know who you love.”
No one would guide us there.
No one would even point.
But we found the path.
Narrow, overgrown, littered with bones that didn’t look animal.
At the end of the trail stood a cracked archway with the words carved in dark wood:
> "Shrine of Mujin Gong — The God Who Hungers for Love."
Jungkook turned to me, face lit by golden hour light.
jeon jungkook
"you ready"?
I wanted to say no.
I wanted to grab him and run the other way.
kim taehyung
But instead, I raised my camera and whispered, “Rolling.”
