The other scents of wolves filled my nose, telling me I was getting close to their packs town. They'll accept me without question since I'm a female shifter, sadly a white-furred one at that. It will draw too much attention to me too.
Fresh baked goods filled the air as I descended from the edge of the town border. It was quiet. Too quiet.
I looked around as all eyes were looking at me. Shock, lust, curiosity, all mixed into their facial emotions.
Ignoring them, I entered the first hair salon I found. Grabbing a bottle of hair dye that matches my hair color perfectly before my shift.
I dropped the bottle onto the cash register from my mouth. Not acknowledging the people looking through the shop window at me.
I have to hurry before their Alpha gets here. They probably already mind linked him. I never met him, nor has father or anyone from my pack, he only sent his beta to talk about negotiations relating to their pack business, disrespecting our pack greatly.
We rarely get involved with this pack, only sending invitations to gatherings that were all rejected.
I gave the lady at the checkout line my wallet, and she understood to take the money needed to pay for the hair dye from it. She bowed before I grabbed the bag with the bottle and the wallet, then I left. I’m not used to people bowing to me, I'm not even used to seeing anything pass my bedroom walls.
The next stop is the clothes store. But I stopped from feeling a pressure, that for normal wolves, would be bone-crushing.
I turned around with a low growl, directing it to the man who was releasing the intense pressure. An old man, who looked kind and fragile, was looking down at me with a beautiful smile.
The Alpha of Crescent Moon Pack.
I stood tall and held my head high as I looked at the man proudly. I couldn't help my Alpha genes.
I didn't even realize that the whole pack was watching us in a circle around us.
I forgot I was in another pack. I was used to being in my pack, and haven't traveled out of it. This was my first, terrifying reality of the real world.
I approached slowly and cautiously towards the old man. Low growls were heard from some of the warriors in the pack. I did growl threateningly a minute ago, so I'm not surprised. I stopped a foot in front of the old man. I only glanced up into his hazel Brown eyes, before bowing politely below him.
It was old fashion for me, but I do not believe going into another pack's territory and treating it like my own is okay.
A small chuckle was heard, before a soft hand rubbed the top of my head. I flinched at the sudden contact.
I could feel the atmosphere lighten up as everyone started to whisper about who I was and if I was a rogue.
