DEVINE BONDS chapter 3

The gentle rays of the afternoon sun steamed through the palace windows , illuminating the grand halls of the palace with their golden warmth Saanvika hurried through the corridors , her heart pounding with excitement and a touch of mischief . She had successfully escaped her mother's scolding , thanks to her father's timely intervention - a masterful diversion that spared her from an earful about her secretly escape , and her dirty fighting attire . Her tunic was smudged with dust and specks of mud from the border village she had visited , yet she felt proud of her day's adventures.

As she rounded the corner leading to her chambers, she spotted her brother , standing casually outside her room , his posture regel yet relaxed . A smile broke across her face as she called out to him , her voice bright and welcoming .

" Brother ! You've returned from your inspection !"

Her brother turned , his expression softening at the sight of her . With a small smile , he reached out and patted her head gently . "yes , just a little while ago . I wanted to see you first , so I came here ."

She smiled happiness lighting up her features . As her brother's eyes took in her attire , however , amusement danced in his gaze . " so , I see you've been up to your usual mischief - visiting the border villages with soldiers again ?" he teased .

Caught red-handed , she laughed , her laughter as light as the breeze brushing through the palace gardens . " you guessed right ! " she admitted playfully .

He smiled , his teasing tone unwavering . " and did you manage to escape Ma's scolding this time ? "

Her grin widened as she leaned closer , conspiratorially whispering , "I got saved by baba."

Her brother chuckled , shaking his head at her antics . " You're lucky . But let's not push your luck

Change out of those clothes before Ma sees you again like this . If she does , I'm not sure baba will be able to save you this time ."

Both laughed heartily at his words before she nodded in agreement and retreated into her room .her brother turned and headed towards his father's chamber to give him report. Leaving her to prepare for the evening .

Inside her room Saanvika called upon her maids , who greeted het with warm Smiles and quick efficient movements . They helped her bathe , washing away the grime of the day , and then dressed her in a stunning gown befitting her royal status . The intricate embroidery

shimmered with threads of silver and gold and the fabric flowed gracefully as she moved . All the while , she chatted and laughed with her maids , her easy charm brightening their spirits .

Once she was ready , she headed to her brother 's room , her footsteps light and purposeful . As she entered , her face lit up with excitement . "Brother , now tell me about your journey !" she exclaimed , her voice brimming with curiosity.

Her brother couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm. "Alright , alright ",he said, patting her head again . He began recounting his journey

Sharing stories of the village he visited , the people he met , and the challenges he faced during his inspection in those seven days .she listened intently , hanging on to every word , her eyes sparkling with interest . They exchanged tales , each describing how they had spent their days , delighting in the moments of adventure and camaraderie that made their lives vibrant.

Soon , their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of maids , who informed them that dinner was ready . Together , they made their way to the dinning hall , where their parents were already seated . The king and queen greeted them warmly , and the family settled in for their meal . The hall was filled with laughter and chatter as they shared stories , teasing one another and revealing in the comfort of their close knit bond.

As the dinner progressed Saanvika turned to her father , her curiosity bubbling over . "baba when will the festival.be held - the one where all the other kingdoms royals come ? " she asked , her tone a little eager .

Her father smiled , setting down the cup . "it will be held in three months ,just as it is every year."

She sighed dramatically ." Three months is still long time ! " she said , her playful complaint drawing chuckles from everyone at the table .

Her brother leaned back in his chair , a teasing grin on his face . "Do you enjoy it that much."

Before she could respond , her mother interjected with a knowing smile . "of course , she does . She gets to play with her swords as much as she wants - that's the only reason she loves it so much ."

The room filled with laughter once again , the family's joy radiating through the palace as the evening drew to a close . This was their life - filled with love , laughter , and moments of mischief , all set against the backdrop of their kingdom's grandeur .

" In the dance of swords and the whispers of kingdoms , the bond of peace glimmers like the dawn - fragile yet eternal , waiting for the truth to awaken
