Love Kickoff – Episode 6: “Between Dreams and Decisions”

---

SCENE 1 – “Gallery of Dreams”

Setting: Eikō’s penthouse. Late evening. Rain gently taps the window. Eikō lies on his bed, scrolling through his phone gallery, a half-eaten bento on his desk.

He stops on a photo.

[PHOTO: Young Eikō, around 9 years old, standing next to Cristiano Ronaldo outside the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. Both smiling. Eikō’s wearing a Real Madrid scarf, clutching a match ball.]

Flashback overlays. Laughter. A younger voice.

YOUNG EIKŌ (voiceover):

“Dad! He signed my ball! Did you see? He smiled at me!”

EIKŌ’S DAD (laughing):

“Of course I saw, champ. One day, they’ll line up to take pictures with you.”

Back to present. Eikō’s expression softens. He taps the photo and whispers to himself:

EIKŌ:

“Still chasing you, Ronaldo…”

---

SCENE 2 – “The Scouts’ Race”

Setting: Downtown Tokyo. Rain-slicked streets. Isabel, the female scout from Barcelona, sits inside a quiet café watching footage of Eikō on her tablet. She smiles subtly as she sends a message to her director.

ISABEL (voice message):

> “He’s real. Footwork like Lamine, vision like Iniesta. If we don’t move now, Madrid will.”

Cut to a sleek car parked across from the café. Inside: a Real Madrid scout watching the same match on his phone.

SCOUT (muttering):

> “He plays like he’s already ours. No way we let Barça steal this one.”

Cut back to Isabel texting Eikō's coach anonymously:

> “Tell the boy: Barcelona is watching. Closely.”

---

SCENE 3 – “The Festival of Light”

Setting: Japanese school festival. Lanterns hang from trees. Students in yukata walk with snacks. Laughter, music, and aroma fill the air. Takashi drags Eikō through a crowd.

TAKASHI (chewing a takoyaki):

“C’mon man! You need to stop thinking football and live a little!”

EIKŌ (half-laughing):

“Bro, this is the most color I’ve seen all week.”

They spot Yuna at a yakisoba stand, hair tied, floral yukata. She smiles and waves.

YUNA:

“Eikō-kun! Takashi! You made it!”

Eikō walks over, a little stunned.

EIKŌ:

“...You look amazing.”

YUNA (blushing):

“Th-thank you…”

From behind a paper wall, Ayame watches them silently. She’s also in a beautiful yukata—but doesn’t come out.

AYAME (whispering):

“He never looks at me like that…”

She slowly walks away, unnoticed.

---

SCENE 4 – “Fireworks and Feelings”

Setting: Nightfall. Fireworks explode overhead. Yuna and Eikō stand alone on a bridge.

YUNA:

“You looked… distant earlier. Everything okay?”

EIKŌ:

“I got scouted. La Masia and Madrid are both watching me. It’s… overwhelming.”

YUNA (smiling softly):

“You’ll make the right choice. You always do.”

He looks at her. Fireworks reflected in his eyes. A moment of silence. Then—

EIKŌ:

“Can I ask you something crazy?”

YUNA (nervous):

“Sure.”

EIKŌ:

“If I go… will you wait for me?”

Yuna’s eyes widen. Before she can answer, a loud BOOM from the sky startles them. She laughs nervously and nods.

---

SCENE 5 – “Breaking News”

Setting: School football pitch. Monday morning. Coach stands before the team holding a printed letter.

COACH (grinning):

“Hiroshima. You’ve officially been invited to trial at La Masia. One week in Spain. All expenses paid.”

The team erupts in cheers. Takashi lifts him up.

TAKASHI:

“Let’s goooo!”

COACH (calming them):

“But before that… we have one final test. Our next match is against the national U-18 Elite Academy. Full of prodigies. Scouts will be watching. Make it count.”

Camera zooms in on Eikō’s serious face.

EIKŌ (internal monologue):

“Before I go chase my dream… I’ll prove I’m already living it.”
