From Sidekick To Bigshot (S1) C8: The Old Kim Residence (1)

At night, after Namjoon returned from the company, he took Taehyung to the old Kim Residence.

Taehyung’s grandparents had heard about what had happened in the past two days, so they wanted Namjoon to bring Taehyung over.

Yeonjun’s situation was quite serious as it affected his future. Namjoon didn’t want to hide it from his parents.

The grandparents of the Kim family lived alone in the old Kim Residence. Their children had all become independent.

However, when anything happened, everyone would still go back to the old Kim Residence.

Whenever it was New Year or other festivities, they would all go to accompany their grandparents.

It took half an hour’s drive to get to the old Kim Residence.

When they arrived at the door, the black iron gates opened automatically and the car drove into the courtyard.

The old Kim Residence has a typical medieval-styled European building.

In the old Kim Residence, the grandparents had been waiting for a long time already.

Although Grandpa Kim had retired, he remained imposing.

Whilst he had white hair and a thin body, his bones were still sturdy. However, when he was young, he had not taken care of himself well, so when the weather was bad, his bones would hurt again.

Grandma Kim also had white hair, but she remained dignified and had a sense of nobility around her.

As soon as Namjoon entered the door holding Taehyung’s hands, Grandma Kim came over and pulled Taehyung to her side.

My precious child, were you scared?

Grandma Kim asked as she leaned over and comforted Taehyung.

Kim Namjoon

Mum, this time it was Taehyung who did something wrong.

Namjoon said whilst frowning. When his mother acted that way, it made it seem like Taehyung was the one who was wronged.

Grandma Kim did not care at all.

Grandma Kim

Stop your nonsense. How much strength would Taehyung have? To be able to push someone off the stairs? And besides, Yeonjun is his brother, how could Taehyung intentionally push him off? He fell off by himself accidentally when they were arguing. And he has to say that Taehyung pushed him on purpose. Is this how you act like a father? Taehyung isn’t a bad child!

Unlike his parents, Grandma Kim firmly believed in Taehyung.

Grandma Kim had given birth to three alpha sons herself. She didn’t have an omega child and she had always wanted one.

She didn’t have any hope of having another child herself, so she could only count on her sons.

However, who would have thought that her three sons have birth to eight grandsons! Not one of them being an omega.

Grandma Kim was rather confused at that.

Finally, after the birth of Taehyung, there was a baby omega in the family. Grandma Kim had been incredibly delighted.

Naturally, she cared for her omega grandson more than the other grandchildren.

She frequently called Taehyung to come over to educate him herself.

Grandma Kim had so many grandchildren. However, the one who stayed with her the longest was Taehyung. Before Taehyung turned five, Grandma Kim brought him up half the time.

This was the child that she had brought up. She knew in her heart what Taehyung would and would not do.

Grandma Kim felt that although the child was a bit arrogant and didn’t have a great temper, he was not bad at heart. And it was due to this, that he would definitely not push his brother off the stairs!

As for the temper, what was wrong with that? He was the only omega child of the Kim family.

Namjoon sighed.

Kim Namjoon

Mother, you cannot indulge and spoil Taehyung like this. Taehyung did something wrong. Seokjin and I are trying our best to teach him. When you do this, you put all our efforts into waste.

Grandma Kim refused to listen.

Grandma Kim

And? What’s the matter? Are you saying that I don’t teach well? Did I not bring up the three of you? And now that I’m old, do you think that I can’t teach children?

Kim Namjoon
