Alright! Let’s turn your cool idea into a structured story. Here's Episode 1 of your series:

🎬 Series Title: FIFA - When We Met

🕰️ Year: 1898

In a small European town, lived a man named Emil Baretto. He loved football more than anything, but sadly, he was terrible at it. Every kick was a miss, every pass went the wrong way. For two years, he tried playing for his local team, Oldstone United.

⚽ Emil's Football Career (1898–1900)

Club: Oldstone United

Appearances: 43

Goals: 1 (a lucky one)

Assists: 2

Trophies: 0

Position: Winger

Best Skill: Running fast... in the wrong direction 😅

🛑 Emil Quits Football

In 1900, Emil sat alone in his room and said to himself:

“If I can’t play football… maybe I can create football.”

That night, an idea sparked. Not to be a footballer — but to build the world of football.

👥 Emil Meets His Friend

Emil ran to his best friend’s house — Jules Martins.

Emil: “Jules! I’ve got it! What if we create a football organization?”

Jules: “Like a league?”

Emil: “Bigger… international!”

Jules: “What should we call it?”

Emil: “FIFA!”

Jules: “What does that mean?”

Emil: “Fédération Internationale de Football Association.”

Jules: “That sounds amazing!”

🎬 Episode: Emil Delegates Matchmaking

🕰️ Year: 1900

After the success of the first matchday, Emil and his friends were facing a new challenge: picking the teams for the next set of fixtures. Emil decided to give Thomas Gibb (English) and Henri Duclair (French) the task of selecting the matchups. He knew it wouldn’t be easy, given that they didn’t speak the same language fluently, but he believed it would push them to find creative solutions.

🗣️ The First Argument

Emil called Thomas and Henri into the small room they used for their meetings.

Emil: “Alright, you two will pick the matches for the next matchday. I trust you both to make this work.”

Thomas, a man who loved structure and order, rubbed his hands together. Henri, who was more passionate and impulsive, smiled but quickly started pacing around the room.

Thomas: “I think we should make sure the teams are balanced. I’ll take the first match.”

Henri (laughing): “Balanced? Ha! It’s about excitement, my friend! I’ll make the most interesting matchups.”

Their disagreement began almost instantly. They had different ideas about what would make a good game — Thomas wanted fairness, while Henri craved drama. The problem was that they didn’t speak the same language very well, which only made communication harder.

📝 The Struggle to Agree

Thomas's Thoughts:

He began writing down the teams, trying to match them based on form and strategy. He scribbled down:

Royal Lions FC vs Napoli Knights (both strong but not too overpowering)

Paris Sporting Club vs Oldstone United (a balanced matchup to give the underdogs a chance)

Thomas (muttering): "We need balance. The competition should be fair. Fans want fair matches."

Henri's Response:

Henri, who was already getting frustrated, threw down a list of his own. It was clear he was thinking about excitement more than fairness:

London Ironboots vs Genève Warriors (underdogs facing off — it could be a surprising battle)

Berlin Blazers vs Madrid Royals (two of the most intense teams, high-stakes clash)

Henri (raising his voice): “This is what people want! Drama, action, and a bit of chaos!”

🗣️ The Argument Escalates

Thomas and Henri stood face to face, arguing passionately. Thomas, trying to maintain order, said:

Thomas: “It’s not fair to put the strongest teams together so early. It will make the rest of the season predictable!”

Henri: “Who cares about that? People want to see the best clash! We have to build excitement. The league is still young. Let them see something spectacular!”

As the argument dragged on, Emil, who had been silently observing, stepped in.

Emil: “Enough! If we keep arguing, we’ll never move forward. Why don’t we each pick one match, and then we’ll agree on the last?”

✍️ The Compromise

After a few more tense moments, they finally agreed on the following matchups, each having selected one match and then compromised on the final one:

Royal Lions FC vs Napoli Knights

Paris Sporting Club vs Oldstone United

London Ironboots vs Genève Warriors

🏆 Matchday 2 Results

After the difficult process of picking the teams, the next set of matches arrived. The excitement was palpable.

London Ironboots 1 - 2 Genève Warriors
