Chapter 4 – The Morning That Felt Like Home

Aarohi woke up at 5:00 AM sharp, just like every day. She tied her hair up, slipped on her sports shoes, and headed to the gym for her daily workout. After freshening up, she wore a soft cotton saree and moved straight to the kitchen. By 7:00 AM, the delicious aroma of breakfast had filled the Rajvanshi Mansion.

One by one, the family members gathered at the dining table.

“Good morning, Aarohi,” said Surya Rajvanshi, her grandfather-in-law, taking his seat.

Aarohi smiled warmly and touched his feet. “Good morning, Dadu.” She served him his favorite tea.

Rehaan Rajvanshi, Akhil’s younger brother, walked in with a cheeky grin. p “Good morning, Bhabhi!”

Aarohi chuckled. “Thank you, Rehaan. So, are you going on the trip?”

“I’m not going if you don’t convince Dad,” he said dramatically.

Before she could respond, a voice filled with distress echoed across the mansion.

It was Kritika, Akhil’s younger sister. She stood with tears in her eyes, holding a tangled earring. “Bhabhi, please help! I want to wear this on Sunday, but it’s stuck!”

Aarohi rushed to help. Rehaan joked, “She always calls you first. Bhabhi, you’re the problem solver of the house!”

Sonali, Akhil’s mother, entered and smiled. “Enough chatter, come have breakfast. I’ll help you with the jewelry later.”

The entire Rajvanshi family sat together, enjoying a hearty breakfast: matar paneer, rajma chawal, pulao, and kheer. Aarohi brought in Gobhi ke paranthe.

“How can I forget your favorite, Papa?” she said, serving Rudra Rajvanshi.

“You’re the only one who truly knows me,” he smiled proudly.

As breakfast wrapped up, Rudra looked at her. “Aarohi, you have a meeting today with Mr. Malhotra and Mr. Arjun. Lakshya will coordinate everything.”

“Yes, Papa. It’s an important deal. I’ll send the report by tomorrow morning,” she assured him.

Rehaan mumbled, “When will I start working in the office?”

“Six months,” Rudra replied before Aarohi could speak.

After breakfast, Aarohi changed into a formal outfit and transformed into the sharp businesswoman she had trained herself to be. She stepped into the office, confident and composed.

Meanwhile, in London...

Surya Rajvanshi was sipping tea in the mansion garden when his phone rang.

“Hello?” he answered.

A voice, cold and firm, replied, “I’m landing in India tomorrow morning.”

It was Akhil Rajvanshi.

Surya’s tone changed. “There’s no need. You walked out of this family four years ago, Akhil. Don’t come back to make my granddaughter cry again. She has suffered enough.”

Akhil didn’t respond. He simply hung up.

“Dev, book the tickets. We’re going to India.” Akhil’s voice was low but determined. “And find out everything about the night we found her…”
