11) Magic Weapons - 3

Nico suddenly broke the hug and I saw that his crystal was attached near his heart and a red colour armor was forming on his body. I called everyone back. After a few minutes his full body was covered in red armor.

He opened his helmet and said "It's an armor. It'll block physical attacks."

"It's a good combination, with your flames for attacking and armor for defending." explained Udonna.

"Now only you are left Iris, let's see what you'll get."

"Hmm" I nodded my head.

It's been two weeks, everyone else was practicing with their weapons, and I was still trying to integrate the crystal.

"Ahhh!!!!" I screamed and soon the alarm system of the whole base started ringing.

"IRIS!!" They came running and saw me holding my head and wincing in pain, the purple crystal was fixed on my forehead.

"Ugh!!" "It hurts"

"Iris concentrate don't let it leave your body" said Udonna when she saw my condition.

I bit my lips so hard there were marks on it, and it was bleeding.

"Keugh!" my head jerked back, and my eyes opened suddenly. There was a purple crown on my head and lightning was surrounding me from every direction.

"Godmother" I turned around and smiled slightly. "I got a crown. It helps in increasing my attack power by gathering lightning at a faster rate."

"Gloria want to spar?" I asked.

"Sure let's go."

We went to the open field outside and activated our weapons. The next moment we attacked together. Gloria threw a wind blade at me and I sent a lightning bolt towards her. We dodged each other's attack and continued fighting.

She was flying around in the air with the help of her wings. I stopped attacking and stood still then started gathering lightning. The collected lightning was so much that it covered the entire area in which we were fighting. She got electrocuted as there was no place left to dodge and then fell down from the sky. I retracted the lightning.

"Your crown is great Iris, you were able to gather so much lightning at once." praised Gloria while panting.

"Your speed was also nice. It was quite hard to keep up." I said and then fainted.

Nico hurriedly caught me before I fell to the ground.

"Looks like she's exhausted. Nico take her back to her room." said Udonna.

He didn't say anything just picked me up and walked away. After reaching my room he laid me down on the bed then cleaned my face and hand with a clean wet cloth.

After a few hours I woke up and saw him sleeping on a chair next to the bed.

"Nico" I called softly, but he didn't respond, so I got up and went near him.

"Woah! Aren't his eyelashes way too long?" I touched them slightly.

"And his lips are so cold" I traced them with my finger.

"Yelp!!" Just as I was about to take my hand back he opened his mouth and bit my finger lightly.

"You... When did you wake up?" I stuttered after getting caught.

"When you called me" he replied leaning close to me.

I stepped backward, but he pulled me close by holding my hand then hugged my waist while sitting. His face resting on my stomach while I was standing.

"What are you doing?" I asked blushing when I felt his hot breath on my waist.

"Hmm what am I doing?" he asked in a teasing tone.

"Leave me" I said.

"I'm not stopping you from taking my hands off of yourself."

I held his hand and tried removing them. 'Oh god so tight. What are his arms made up of?'

*Clack*

"Udonna is calling you bo...."

Just as I was struggling, the door of my room suddenly opened and I saw Simon looking at us wide eyed.

"Ahem! You guys continue. I won't disturb you." he said then closed the door and went away.

"Look what you did" I looked at Nico blushing from head to toe.

"What did I do?" he asked making an innocent face while hugging my stomach.
