Chapter Four

Drew-

As I was talking I noticed that Haylee wasn’t in the store, where’d she go? “I’m sorry Jessica but I’ve got to go.” I said turning away. She grabbed my wrist, “Hey wait, can I at least get your number.” I sigh, “I’m sorry, I’m really not looking for a relationship right now. You’re really sweet and all but I’m sorry. I’m sure you’ll find someone else.” I say trying to leave this now awkward situation.

“We don’t have to be in a relationship we can just you know do a one time thing.” I turn to her once more this time annoyed. “Listen I’m not the type of guy to just fuck a girl then leave without any connection or strings attached. The only time I plan to do that is with someone l really like or at most love. So I’m sorry but the answer is no.” I said walking away not waiting for a response.

I look out the window and then I notice Haylee was out in the car. Waiting for me. Damn I’m such an asshole. It was her day I had promised her I would help her. I’m such a jerk. Why do I care so much I mean she’s just a kid. Right she’s just a kid, she’ll get over it. I head outside and get in the car.

“Sorry I took so long.” She rolled her eyes, “It’s fine whatever.” I turn to look over at her. “I brought you here kid you better treat me with respect. I can kick you out of the car anytime. Try me.” She huffed, “Okay fine, do it.” I my blood was boiling, was she actually serious? I didn’t think she’d go that far. She’s got some guts for sure, I’ll give her that.

“I’m not gonna make you get out Haylee, I was just aggravated.” She turns fully towards me. “Shouldn’t I be the one mad? I mean you did just leave me by myself after all, for some girl. I mean at least if your gonna take me somewhere don’t ditch me. But like I said it’s fine, we don’t even know each other that well I mean we did just meet two days ago. So I understand why you’d leave me so I’m not half as mad.”

“Okay...good. Now let’s get going we gotta head back the dorms are closing in ten minutes.” I turn on the car and pull out of the parking lot and head back to the campus. Once we arrive I get got of the car. I head inside not waiting for Haylee. I grab some of my clothes for the night and head to the bathroom to change. “Where are you going?” Haylee asked.

“Just going to go change.” She turned away heading towards her bed. “Okay.” Once I finish I open the door and step out I look up to find Haylee changing also. I stop mid step and I could already tell that my face had immediately turned red. “Ah! Look away! Look away!” She squealed. “Your such a dickhead!”

“What how am I a dickhead? Your the one changing in the bedroom you didn’t even bother telling me.” I said while turning away. “Whatever...just shut up already.” She said.

I stood there just staring at the wall waiting for her to finish. Then all of the sudden the memory of her shirtless and only in a bra came to mind once again. I feel my face heat up. Why am I thinking of this, I can’t think of this she’s seventeen for gods sake. I feel something beneath me. I don’t even have to look I already know what it is, I look down ashamed.

“There I’m done.” She said. I turned away from her trying to hide the fact that I was hard. I ignored it and then sat down on my bed. “We have classes starting Friday so we got two days.” I said. “Yeah I know.” Then as silence started to fill the room I hear her stomach growl. I raise a brow, “Hungry? I’ll make some food if you want, although we don’t have very much stuff to cook anything. It’s okay I’ll sip up something. Just sit tight. But it wouldn’t hurt for you to help Once in a damn while.”

“Oh whatever.” She said while walking towards the kitchen. “Here I’ll help.” We finish cooking and we sit down to eat. “See isn’t my cooking great?” I said wiggling my eyebrows. “Sure whatever.” I smile, “See I knew it.” Once we finish eating I grab the dishes and start doing them. “This time I will do them so you don’t break anything again.” She flips me off, “That was a one time thing, okay, forget about it.”

“Fine fine, but I’m still not letting you do them today.” She shrugs, “Less work for me then. Fine by me.” I laugh, “Ah smart one I see.” She goes to the bedroom leaving me alone. “Indeed I am.” I finish the dishes and head to the bedroom, I find her messing with some of my stuff. “What the fuck? I told you not to touch any of my things. Are you stupid or something? Or do your ears just not work?” She jumps in surprise. “Oh I’m sorry..your things just fell on the floor so I was picking them up. I won’t do it again I swear.”

“Oh sure you won’t. I just cooked you dinner at least respect my boundaries Haylee.” I said pissed. “Okay I’m sorry Drew.” I sighed. “Okay well just don’t do it again.” She turned toward me annoyed, “Okay I already said I won’t so just drop it okay!” It sounded as if she was upset and also mad at the same time.

“Fuck you really piss me off..” I say under my breath. She rolls her eyes, I get in bed and hope not to see her face anytime soon. I was about to fall asleep when I hear a noise. A noise that was coming from her phone. I roll over to face her direction. “Can you please turn your phone off. Some people are trying to sleep for gods sake.” She looks over at me, “I’ll turn it down but I’m not shutting it off for your sake.” I sit up, “Really now? Your gonna turn it off.” She tilts her head, “And what are you gonna do about it, go cry to that girlfriend of yours? What’s her name, oh right Jessica. So how about you just get a fucking grip.” He said gritting her teeth.

Why was she so mad? “Just get some headphones or something.” She glared at me. “Please just get some headphones.”I say. “....Fine.” She said finally agreeing.
