CHAPTER -5: THE NEW BOY

Before miss Mira started the class, she called Peterson in front of the classroom and said-

'So children, he is a new transfer student from London and his name is Peterson come on Peterson say hello to the class.'

'Hello everyone I am Peterson from Kingston London, my father is an archaeologist his new research is going on in India that's why I am also transferred here from Surbiton High school I hope my journey goes smoothly with you all.'

'don't you think he is having a bit of attitude'

said Sira.

'It's fine Sira maybe English main or like this only.' search tiny after which see they were a look.

'what I am saying is I think he is a nice guy.'

Said Tinni with a grin. Sira rolled her eyes and hardness Mira Saying Peterson to go and take his seat serious so him coming towards her and after approaching to her he asked her that whether he could sit with her or not she moved aside indicating him to sit with her and tiny gently he moved in and sat there with the sign of great fullness.

Tinni putting her hand around his shoulders in a friendly way said in a teasing tone

'wWellboy you are speech was amazing have you written it first or directly delivered it?'

' what matters is you said it was amazing whether written before delivery or directly delivered.'

Tinni smiled and said with a shrug ' That's also true.'

Miss Mira stroke the duster on the table to settle down the class and said 'let's start today's class by solving this question.'

She wrote the question on the green board and said ' I am giving you all 5 minutes, try to solve it after which I will show you the solution.'

Everyone grabbed their pen and notebook and started writing like a storm. in the middle of all of them Peterson was sitting still with his head in his left arm, spinning the pen with his right hand and steering at the board.

Tinni old her head of her notebook for a while and said watching him 'are you confused?'

With smirk he said 'the answer is 3.5, now waste your ink and check it yourself.' He turned to Sira expecting her to get impressed with his quick answer but she was all into solving the problem, even being disappointed he smiled and started spinning his pen again with his head in his arm.

After a while Sira the raised her hand and set is it 3.5 Miss Mira.'

'Correct Sira.'

'hey! that's the same answer I got it too but Peter, you got it Just in few seconds without even running the pen that's kind of genius stuff Peter.'

He smiled and said 'It sounds like a compliment.'

'OfCourse it is , what you think Sira?'

'That's really appreciable but why didn't you tell it to miss Mira if you knew it already.'

'What's the need, when I know that the answer is correct.'

'Sure It was Peter but there is no bad in getting it checked from teacher, after all this is the thing for which they are present here.'

'I don't need that, I have enough confidence on my work.'

'But I think this is overconfidence.'

'Ok, Ok, let's end this discussion, it's next period now.' Said Tinni.

After few periods the bell for recess rang everyone went out of the classroom with their groups Sira Tinni Peter and Rishabh also came out of the classroom.

while Rishabh and Peter were talking seera pulled tiny a little backward and said

'Attitude, didn't I told you.'

' It's Ok Sira may be he is just confident, and I think he was right It can happen that by answering him just in seconds other students feel lower than him.'

' No tiny if he answers without suppressing someone or showing of then none would feel that way, and only if he will not have such feelings in his hurt and talk nicely to everyone then definitely they would like him.'

'Yes you are right Sira.'

'And you have heard it right that confidence thrills overconfidence kills.'

'I know Sira but he is completely new here not only in the school but in India also, let's give him some time.'

'You are right Tinni let's see.'
