Arav swung his legs over the side of the bed and made his way to the reception desk. The nurse at the desk looked up, startled by his sudden appearance.

“Where’s the woman who brought me here?” he asked, his voice low but commanding.

The nurse hesitated, then handed him a small envelope. “She left this for you,” she said.

Arva took the note, his sharp eyes scanning the delicate handwriting.

> Dear Friend,

I hope you recover quickly. I had to leave to ensure your safety and mine. The world can be dangerous, and I cannot risk being found out. Please know that I will be thinking of you and wishing you well.

Take care,

Isha

He stared at the note for a long moment, the name “Isha” echoing in his mind. She had left without a trace, but her words lingered. Arav crumpled the note slightly in his fist, frustration flickering in his eyes.

“She saved my life,” he muttered under his breath, his tone more contemplative than angry.

Turning back to the nurse, he requested the hospital phone. He dialed a number he knew by heart, one that connected him to the underworld network he controlled.

Within minutes, a group of men arrived, all dressed in sharp suits, their expressions a mix of respect and wariness.

“Boss,” one of them said, bowing slightly. “We’re relieved to see you alive.”

Arav nodded, his sharp features betraying no emotion. “Take me home. We have unfinished business to handle.”

As they escorted him to a sleek black car waiting outside, his mind remained on Isha.

This was Arav, the feared Bloody Mafia of the North, known across the underground as the Blackshadow. Ruthless, cunning, and unrelenting, he was the eldest son of the demon ruler, a title that made him both feared and respected in the mortal and infernal realms.

But the woman who had saved him—her aura, her presence—had stirred something deep within him.

As the car sped through the city streets, Arav’s resolve hardened. “Find her,” he ordered his men, his voice like ice. “I don’t care how long it takes. Bring her to me.”

Isha was already far away, her heart conflicted about leaving the injured man behind. Her mission, however, couldn’t wait. She needed to find the Heartstone before it fell into the wrong hands.

Little did she know, the Blackshadow was now searching for her, and their paths were destined to cross again—this time, under far more dangerous circumstances.

Isha took a deep breath as she stepped onto the campus of Eastwood University, the vibrant autumn leaves swirling around her feet. The air was crisp, a stark contrast to the chaos she had left behind. She had spent the past few weeks adjusting to life on Earth, guided by her aunt, who had lived among humans for decades. Her aunt had helped her navigate the complexities of human society, from the mundane rituals of grocery shopping to the intricacies of human emotions.

“Just blend in, Isha,” her aunt had advised. “You’re here to learn, to be a part of this world, not to stand out. Keep your head down, and you’ll be fine.”

With her new identity as a sub English professor, Isha hoped to immerse herself in the culture while searching for the Heartstone. It was a powerful artifact that could shift the balance between realms, and she was determined to find it before it fell into the hands of those who would misuse its power.
