Chapter 4: A Love Coach’s Worst Nightmare

Miggy woke up with one thought: I need to escape this nonsense. 😵‍💫

After spending an entire day trying (and failing) to teach the world’s most unromantic duke how to woo his future husband, Miggy was ready to throw in the towel. But of course, the universe—and the system—had other plans. 😭

Miggy groaned and rolled over, burying his face into the silk pillows. “I hate my life.” 😩

Just then, a knock on his door nearly sent him flying out of bed. “Cain, are you awake?”

Rin’s voice. 😱

Miggy scrambled up, fixing his bedhead in a panic. He wasn’t mentally prepared for this! He had just spent hours helping Adrian, and now he had to deal with Rin too?! Give me a break! 😫

“C-Coming!” He opened the door with a bright, definitely-not-fake smile. “Morning, bestie!” 😅

Rin frowned. “You look tired. Were you up late?”

If you count suffering as late-night activities, then yes. 🫠

“Nope! Slept like a baby!” Miggy laughed nervously. “What’s up?”

Rin studied him for a second before sighing. “I wanted to ask… are you hiding something from me?”

Miggy froze. His soul nearly left his body. 👻

“W-What? Me? Hide something? Haha, Rin, my guy, my pal, what are you even saying?” His voice cracked. 🤡

Rin crossed his arms. “Yesterday, Adrian kept looking at you like he knew something I didn’t. And you were acting weird. You even agreed to help him without complaining.”

Miggy broke into a sweat. Crap. He’s catching on! 😨

Time to activate distraction mode. 🤖

“You know what, Rin? You should totally go on a date today! Just a nice, relaxing day with Adrian! Doesn’t that sound fun?”

Rin blinked. “A… date?”

“Yes! A cute, romantic, heart-fluttering date!” Miggy wiggled his eyebrows. “You and Adrian, alone, under the stars, talking about your feeeeeelings~” 💕✨

Rin turned red. “Cain, stop that!”

“But do you like the idea?” Miggy pressed.

Rin bit his lip, looking conflicted. “I mean… I don’t dislike Adrian, but…”

“Great! It’s settled then!” Miggy clapped his hands, internally sighing in relief. Mission: Successfully Distract Rin was a success! 🎉

Now all he had to do was survive another day of playing love coach for a duke who had the romantic skills of a rock. 😩

Later That Day – The Date That Shouldn’t Exist

Miggy peeked from behind a tree, watching as Adrian and Rin sat at an outdoor café. ☕

Adrian, dressed in his usual dark and brooding attire, looked ridiculously out of place in such a casual setting. Meanwhile, Rin was fidgeting, clearly unsure how to act.

Miggy sighed. This is a disaster waiting to happen. 😬

“Rin,” Adrian started, his golden eyes locking onto him. “Do you enjoy spending time with me?”

Rin looked like he had been hit with a trick question. “Uh… Yes?”

Adrian leaned in slightly. “Good. Because I intend to spend much more time with you.”

Rin choked on his tea. ☕😳

Miggy, still spying, whispered, “Holy crap. That was smooth.” 😳

The system suddenly pinged in his head:

[Mission Progress: 30% - Minor Success!]

Miggy fist-pumped the air. Yes! Finally, some progress! 💪

But just as he was about to celebrate, a deep voice spoke right next to his ear.

“You’re enjoying yourself, aren’t you?”

Miggy yelped and spun around—only to find Adrian standing behind him, smirking. 😱
