The Guardian World, a place of quiet order, was thrown into a state of bewildered confusion.

Hyena, the embodiment of unwavering duty, had abruptly left his office in the middle of his work.

"He just walked out," one of his baffled servants whispered to another, "Said he was 'going for a walk to get air ".

' In the middle of all this?" servant gestured to the towering stacks of reports, the glowing data streams, the sheer volume of unfinished mountain of his works.

"He never does that," another servant said while shaking his head, his brow furrowed in deep perplexity. "He always finishes everything first. He never leaves his work until it’s done. Never."

The news spread like wildfire through the crystalline corridors, reaching the ears of Lion, Panther, Cheetah, and Horse.

They exchanged glances, a silent alarm passing between them. Hyena's behavior was not just unusual; it was utterly absurd, a complete departure from his rigidly structured routine.

"Something is seriously amiss," Lion rumbled, his golden mane shifting with a palpable unease. "Let's see where he's gone."

They followed the faint trail of Hyena's energy, a subtle disturbance in the normally still air, leading them to a human hospital, a birthing room.

They observed from a distance, unseen shadows watching a scene unfold below.

Hyena stood near a small cradle, his usually cold gaze softened, almost…curious.

horse :" what's he doing here "

Lion : "shhh"....see for yourself idiot.

They saw Within the cradle, a brown-skinned infant, grasped his finger, her dark eyes shining with an innocent joy that seemed to fill the room.

"He's letting her touch him," Panther whispered, his blue eyes wide with disbelief.

"He never allows that."

"Look at his face," Cheetah murmured, his green form still, his eyes fixed on Hyena.

"He looks…interested in her like Almost…so gentle."

"She's even sucking on his finger," Horse said from fear of hyena would do something to that baby .

"This is completely unprecedented. He is letting her touch him , and he didn't get angry ?

They watched as the human parents and relatives entered the room, their voices a mix of awe and casual judgment. They heard them say things about Sofiya’s skin color, things that made the parents visibly uncomfortable.

Then, Hyena's face changed. The cold, detached expression vanished, replaced by a dark, almost dangerous energy. His eyes narrowed, and a low growl rumbled in his throat.

"He's angry," Cheetah whispered, his voice filled with shock. "He actually cares about her."

Hyena's anger subsided, replaced by a look of confusion, as if he himself didn’t understand his reaction.

Then, he abruptly turned, his eyes scanning the room.

"Come out, you scoundrels," he said, his voice cold and sharp, cutting through the silence "I can clearly see you all, you idiots."

The Guardians, caught off guard, materialized into view, their expressions a mix of sheepishness and amusement.

"We were just…checking on you," Lion stammered, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "Making sure you were alright."

"Yes, we were concerned," Panther added, trying to sound nonchalant, but failing miserably.

Hyena sighed, his gaze lingering on Sofiya for a moment before turning back to them.

"Don't disturb her," he said, his voice surprisingly gentle, a stark contrast to his usual cold tone. "I have a mountain of work to do."

With that, he vanished, leaving the Guardians to exchange bewildered glances.

They knew, without a doubt, that this human child, this spark of warmth in a cold world, was going to change everything they thought they knew about Hyena, and perhaps, about themselves.
