author's pov:
Every weekend, as the sun dipped low beside the quiet riverside, Gemini and Fourth met in silence
It wasn’t a meeting filled with words or laughter; instead
it was wrapped in the quiet understanding between two very different souls.
Gemini, with his sketchbook always resting on his knee, focused entirely on capturing the flow of nature, the bend of the river, or sometimes just abstract shadows of his thoughts.
Fourth, on the other hand, simply watched. He found joy in Gemini’s drawings, in the focused furrow of his friend’s brows and the way his fingers moved with precision and care.
Their bond was unspoken but strong,
one evening:
Fourth and gemini both were getting ready to go back to their own homes
" I can't come next weekend gemini" fourth broke the silence with a sentence that he was holding for hours
"Oh , that's ok but can i ask why? I mean-"
"I'm going to my aunt's house" fourth looks into gemini's eyes , the silence was so loud for them
" That's really good " gemini smiles
"Maybe .. I'll not able to meet you again .. gemini " fourth took a step back.. gemini couldn't say anything, he knew he can't force fourth to stay here after all he was just a person for him ..what are they?
Fourth saw the drop of tear escaped from gemini's eyes so he also couldn't hold back and he walks away as fast as he can ,
Gemini runs to fourth and hugs him from behind
" Thank you for making me feel special fourth , you're my first friend with whom i shared my time and you're the only one who can make me feel better even though i don't have any reason to be" gemini's grib was tight, that he scared fourth might be running again
" Gemini , thank you for letting me sit with you even though there was no reason, we don't talk much , we don't laugh or share jokes but you're so special "
" Fourth.. it's been 1 year .. I don't know why i don't wanna let you go ..i wanna hold u tell u that I'm always here to make you feel better and comfort you , i wanna-"
" I love you gemini"
1 month later -
when Gemini returned to his family’s mansion, his sketchbook still under his arm,
pages filled with riverside thoughts. As he entered the sitting room,
his eyes immediately locked on two familiar figures. One was his father, stoic as ever, and the other was Mr. Elaris , Prim’s father. That sight made him freeze for a heartbeat. It had been two long years since Mr. Elaris had stepped into their home, and though Prim was Gemini’s childhood friend, her father's presence now felt strangely out of place.
Before he could ask, his father gestured for him to sit. The conversation turned serious almost instantly. They weren’t there for a reunion—they were talking about marriage. His marriage. To Prim.
Gemini’s heart sank, mind spinning too fast to grasp the words. Marriage? He hadn’t seen this coming.
" What are you talking about??? Marriage?? Father!" Gemini tried to stop them
" Son , you know we're doing this for our reputation and yours also , prim is a good girl , she'll always make you happy and healthy, i believe her about this"
" But I don't! No one can make me feel better when I don't want them to make me feel that way, I'm your son not a servant, who'll listen to everything father , I'm so sorry , i know I'm not good enough as a son but i respect you , i can't marry prim , she's like my sister, i like her as a sister only"
" You'll marry her , that's my order or get out of my house! You can't even make me proud gemini! All you're doing is drawing shits , they'll never feed you when you'll be hungry"
His voice cracked with protest, but no matter how many times he denied, his father remained unmoved. The decision had already been made.
"You have four years," his father finally said, his tone final. "Four years to understand her, to date her, and to tell the world about your relationship."
It wasn’t a request. It was an expectation. And just like that, Gemini’s peaceful riverside world began to fracture
