Stories of the Tower Challenge
In an 55th floor of an unknown soul, a massive kingdom stands in alone, the village were full of cheers and laughter, celebrating about winning the war while others feels a little regret killing humans but knows there's nothing they can do.
In an underground dungeon under the majestic palace, a king was looking down at a prisoner with his hands tied up on the wall, he's bloodied and injured, but his eyes shine with loyalty and fearlessness.
the king looks at him with no judgment nor feeling like he's superiors but stares at him like he's a warrior
"I'll give you a chance," the king said, going on one knee to look at the prisoner face to face
"A chance? Everything that needs a chance is already over. " The prisoner scoffed, looking at the king with fiery gaze, and pulled tha chain, wanting to punch him.
The king tilt his head slightly, looking at him with calm eyes. "Have you ever heard of 'History is written by the victors'"
"So what?"The prisoner grits his teeth, feeling that the king is mocking him and his kingdom
The king ignored his look and disrespectful attitude. "I'll give you a chance to white history."
"Are you mocking us?" the prisoner said as he looked at the king straight in his eyes."After capturing us, killing my comrades, killing our king, you still have the audacity tell me this?" He glared at him
"Your people are the one who plundered our village, massacred everyone, rape our women and turned our men into slaves yet acted like the victims, I warned your kingdom so many times, but did you all stop and listen?" He said with no hate, nor blame, and no regret with what he did
the prisoners turned quiet and looked away. "And you still want me to write history?"
the king got up and looked down at him. "I have respect for your ancestry who builds your kingdom with sweat, blood, and tears. I want those stories that build the kingdom and how it got destroyed to stay, as it'll be a lesson for the future generations"
... the prisoners stay quiet and then agree after a while
"My king, there is no need to go this far." The king's guard kneeled, but the king continued to walk leisurely
"If I didn't go this far, my palace known for having no traitors, you my dear guard would have already died" He smiles, the guard looks up, staring at his king's dignified but relax shoulder, his nobility is normal and comes naturally, he stares at him in silent, not knowing whether to feel like it's stupid or admirable
The guard sighs, stands up, and follows his king, thinking about it anymore, knowing what whatever the king thinks always has a reason and has good reason, that trait is the thing that made him follow him, and the thing that made him betrayed his organization
