The grand ballroom of Voidwing Fleet's was a spectacle of shimmering lights and elegant decor, a rare occasion where diplomacy and celebration intertwined.

Aurea, dressed in a flowing gown that Salvek had insisted she wear, felt out of place amidst the sea of dignitaries, soldiers, and scientists. Yet, she couldn't deny the magnetic pull of Salvek's presence beside her, his commanding aura making her feel both protected and exposed.

As they entered, the room buzzed with whispers. Aurea resembles Salvek's secret crush had already become the subject of endless speculation and her appearance at the ball only fueled the intrigue.

"Am I Really resembling your crush?" Asked Salvek curiously. But Salvek didn't reply.

Later Aurea's focus on the man who had taken everything from her.

Across the room, surrounded by a group of high-ranking officials, stood commander Kael - The man who had orchestrated Lady Cerys's death. Aurea's heart clenched as memories of her master flooded back, the pain and anger threatening to consume her. She clenched her fists, herr nails digging into her palms as she fought to maintain her composure.

Varek noticed her tension immediately." What's wrong?"He asked, his voice low enough that only she could hear.

Varek had become an unexpected ally during her training,his easy going demeanor and quit support offering her sense of normalcy amidst the chaos.tonight ,he had sensed her unease.

Aurea hesitated,the gazes locked on Kael." He's here,"she whispered, her voice trembling with barely contained fury." The one who killed my family."

Varek's expression darkened, hiss sharp eyes scanning the room until they landed on Kael." Stay close to me,"he said firmly.

As the evening progressed, Aurea struggled to keep her emotions in check. Kael's presence was a constant reminder of her mission, yet Salvek's presence with lots of girls around him, she was equally distracting.

At one point, Kaell approached Aurea, his smug demeanor making Aurea's blood boil." Lieutenant Varek,"he said with a sly smile,".

Kael's gaze shifted to Aurea, his eyes narrowing as if trying to place her." You seem familiar,"he said, his voice dripping with suspicion." Have we met before?"

Aurea forced herself to meet his gaze, her heart pounding,"No,"she lied.

Varek subtly stepped closer to her, hiss presence of silent reassurance."if you'll excuse us,"He said, leading Aurea away before Kael could prove further.

"Want to get some air?"

Aurea hesitated, glancing briefly at Salvek, who was engaged in conversation with one of the Fleet's officials.

"Let's go,"she said, her voice low but resolute.

Without drawing much attention, Varek led her through one of the side exits into a quiet corridor. They exchanged a few words before heading toward an observation deck- a peaceful escape to clear her mind.

Salvek, mid-conversation,had caught the movement out of the corner of His eye.his gaze followed her retreating figure as she left with Varek, a flicker of something unfamiliar tightening his chest. Anger? Confusion? Or was it jealousy, though he'd never admit to it?

Unable to resist, Salvek excused himself from the dignitaries surrounding him and quietly followed their path. He stayed in the shadows, observing from a distance as the two leaned against the railing, the starlight expanse framing them. Varek spoke softly, his words inaudible, but Salvek could see Aurea smile-a rare and genuine expression that sent a wave of unfamiliar irritation through him.

Salve's fist clenched at his sides as he continued to watch. The ease with which Varek engaged with Aurea, the comfort she seemed to find in his presence, was a stark contrast to the guarded dynamic Salvek shared with her. He had been careful, distant, always maintaining control. But now, he found himself questioning whether that distance had created a gap Varek is filling.

When Varek reached out to adjust the strand of hair falling across Aurea's face, Salvek stepped forward, no longer content to remain hidden. His authoritative presence filled the room as the door slid open with a hiss, startling both Varek and Aurea.

"Enjoying the view?" Salvek asked coolly, though his piercing eyes were locked on Aurea.

Varek straightened immediately." Captain,"he said, nodding in acknowledgement.

Aurea turned to Salvek, her expression of a mixture of surprise and confusion." What are you doing here?" She asked, her tone wary.

Salvek's gaze flicked briefly to Varek before returning to Aurea." I could ask you the same thing,"he replied, his voice calm but carrying an edge.

Varek cleared his throat." I was just..."

"You can leave now," Salvek interrupted his tone leaving no room for argument.

Once they were alone, Salvek stepped closer to Aurea, his expression unreadable." Why did you leave?"he asked, his voice quieter but laced with something she couldn't quite place.

Aurea met his gaze, searching for the right words."I needed space,"she said finally.

"Would you mind if I do something"? Salvek asked bluntly.

"Okay"… Interrupted by Salvek's kiss.

Um~ Trying to push Salvek, but no effect on him.

Later both enjoyed the intimacy,,,, but then Aurea came in sense and pushed Salvek hard. And ran away.

...Aurea's room...

"How can I do that to him,"Questioning. His crush is my Lady Cerys.

"He maybe mistook me for my Lady. But how can I make such a big mistake,"Blaming herself.
