chapter 3:

[Setting: Late evening, inside a practice studio. The room is dimly lit, the hum of the air conditioning the only sound besides the soft tapping of their sneakers on the floor. They've just finished a long practice session and are sitting against the wall, catching their breath. Jimin looks unusually quiet, his face contemplative.]

*Jimin**: (quietly, staring at the floor)

   "Do you ever... feel like people only see one part of you? Like, they look at you and they don’t even see what you’re really about?"*

*Jungkook**: (glances at Jimin, raising an eyebrow)

   "Uh, I mean, I guess... everyone has something they want to be seen for, right?" (pauses) "Why do you ask?"*

*Jimin**: (shifts uncomfortably, fiddling with the sleeve of his shirt)

   "It’s just... Sometimes I feel like no one cares about my dancing. They just look at me... and think I’m some kind of... pretty face. It’s like I’m being judged for my looks more than my ability. Like, I’m always trying to prove that I can do more than just look nice."*

*Jungkook**: (frowning, his voice softening as he notices the discomfort in Jimin’s eyes)

    "I never thought about it like that. But... I get what you mean. It must be frustrating to feel like you’re not being seen for who you really are." (pauses, thinking for a moment) "I feel the same way sometimes."*

*Jimin**: (looks up, surprised)

    "You? But you’re... you're so confident. You never seem like you’re bothered by anything."*

*Jungkook**: (a bitter chuckle escapes him, shaking his head)

    "That’s the thing. I have to pretend. It’s not like I’m naturally this way. My dad... he has these... huge expectations for me. He always wanted me to be the best. Not just good, but the absolute best. And if I don't meet that, it feels like... I’m failing him." (His gaze turns distant, as if recalling painful memories.) "Sometimes, I feel like no matter what I do, I’m never enough for him."*

*Jimin**: (gently) "I can’t imagine living with that kind of pressure... That must be so heavy."*

*Jungkook**: (looking away, voice slightly tight)

       "It is. And sometimes it feels like no one really understands. Not even the people closest to me." (pauses, then adds quietly) "But, I guess... that’s why I don’t talk about it. People have enough of their own stuff to deal with."*

*Jimin**: (softly, looking at Jungkook)

    "I didn’t know you felt like that. I guess we’re more alike than I thought." (smiles faintly, his voice shaky) "I always felt like I had to be perfect... just so people would stop looking at me like I’m just... a pretty face."*

*Jungkook**: (his expression softens, a moment of understanding passing between them)

     "Yeah. It’s tough, right? Living in the shadow of what other people think of you." (pauses, meeting Jimin’s eyes) "But... I think you’re way more than just a pretty face, Jimin. You have something special... not just with your dancing, but with how you make people feel when you’re around."*

*Jimin**: (his eyes flicker with something like surprise, but also gratitude)

     "You really think that?"*

*Jungkook**: (nodding slowly)

     "Yeah. I do." (pauses, then adds in a quieter tone) "And I... I don’t know if I ever told you this, but I admire how you can just... be yourself. Even when it’s hard."*

*Jimin**: (looking at him, his voice barely above a whisper)

      "Thanks... I guess... I still don’t really know what it means to be myself. I’ve always felt like I had to be what people expected."*

*Jungkook**: (his tone softer, more earnest than usual)

     "Maybe that’s why we need to stop worrying about what others think. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about finding who we really are underneath all of that pressure." (leans back against the wall, looking thoughtful) "Maybe... maybe we can figure that out together."*

*Jimin**: (after a pause, smiles slowly, a bit more relaxed)

      "Yeah... Maybe we can." (pauses, then laughs lightly) "I guess I’ve been holding onto a lot, huh?"*

*Jungkook**: (smirking slightly)

      "Yeah. We both have our own things we’re carrying around." (glances over at Jimin, a slight warmth in his voice) "But it’s okay. We don’t have to carry them alone."*

*Jimin**: (nods, feeling the weight lift off his shoulders a little)

    "Thanks, Jungkook. For... listening. I didn’t think you’d get it."*

*Jungkook**: (smiling, a little more genuinely than before)

      "I think we both needed to say it out loud. It feels... better now, doesn’t it?"*

*Jimin**: (with a small, sincere smile)

      "Yeah. It does."*

               [ The conversation is winding down. The atmosphere is lighter now, but there’s a strange                             undercurrent of something unspoken between them. Jimin smiles, his body more relaxed, but                           Jungkook, while appearing calm on the surface, seems distant, as though lost in thought.]

Jimin : (noticing the shift, tilts his head slightly)

    "You okay, Jungkook? You’ve been a little quiet."

Jungkook : (snaps out of his thoughts, his expression flickering for a moment before settling into a calm smile)

    "Yeah, just... thinking." (He pauses, then shrugs slightly, his eyes narrowing in a thoughtful way.)

        "Actually, I’ve been thinking about something. But, it’s not something I want to talk about just yet."

Jimin : (raising an eyebrow, a little puzzled)

   "Something you don’t want to talk about? Now you’ve got me curious." (laughs lightly, but there’s a slight edge to his voice, sensing something isn’t quite right.)

Jungkook : (grins mischievously, his gaze lingering on Jimin for a moment before turning away)

    "I’m not ready to share just yet." (He leans back, eyes now scanning the studio as if looking for something, but his expression is unreadable.)

      "It’s... something I’ve been planning. Something... for the both of us."

Jimin : (his curiosity piqued, but unsure whether to press him further)

     "For the both of us?" (pauses, trying to gauge Jungkook’s tone)

      "That sounds... a little cryptic. What exactly are you planning?"

Jungkook : (smirking, his eyes gleaming with something more mysterious than usual)

       "I’ll let you know soon. Just... trust me on this one." (His voice is steady, but there’s a certain intensity in his tone that makes it clear he’s not going to elaborate further.)

       "You’ll see. It’ll be worth it."

Jimin : (feeling a mix of intrigue and slight unease, he shrugs, trying to act casual)

    "Okay, okay. I’ll trust you. But you better not be planning anything crazy." (He chuckles, but there's a flicker of concern behind his eyes as he watches Jungkook.)

Jungkook : (with a half-smile, his gaze lingering on Jimin for just a moment longer than necessary, as if he’s hiding something behind his calm exterior)

    "Crazy? Me? Never." (He winks, his tone light, but the mystery of his words still hangs in the air.)

[The moment stretches, and Jimin, though still a bit unsettled by the unknown, chooses to let it go for now. He nods slowly, giving a small smile as he tries to shake off the unease.]

Jimin : (leaning back against the wall, sighing lightly)

     "Alright, if you say so. But don’t leave me hanging for too long, okay?"

Jungkook  : (softly, almost too casually)

    "Don’t worry. You’ll find out soon enough." (He stands up, stretching, then looks down at Jimin with a faint smile.)

     "Come on, let’s go grab something to eat. We’ve earned it."

 [Jimin nods, though there’s a lingering sense of curiosity and uncertainty that remains between them. As they both exit the practice studio, Jimin can’t help but wonder what Jungkook is truly planning... and what it could mean for their evolving friendship.]
