Jake stopped, his eyes narrowing as he saw Erik approach. The tension in the air was palpable. But Erik wasn’t here for a fight. He extended his hand.

Erik: "We’re putting together a team, Jake. We need you. Join us. You’ll have a purpose again."

Jake glared at him, fists clenched. But after a long pause, he looked down at his hands. His fists were stronger than iron now—just like his master always wanted.
