Chapter 15

Alex, Kai and Mia gathered around a table, pouring over a map of Felix's stronghold.

Alex: Alright, here's the plan. Kai, you'll take point and clear a path to the entrance. Mia, you'll provide cover with your archery skills. And I'll take care of Felix.

Kai nodded.

Kai:Got it. What about Jasmine.

Alex turned to Jasmine, who was standing off the side, looking uncertain.

Alex: Jasmine, can we trust you to take care of the minions inside?

Jasmine nodded, a determined look on her face.

Jasmine: I'll do it. I'll make sure they don't interfere with your mission.

Mia looked at Jasmine skeptically.

Mia:Can we really trust her?

Alex nodded.

Alex:I think so. She's genuinely sorry for what she's done, and she wants to make it right.

Kai grunted.

Kai: Alright, let's get moving. We've got a stronghold to infiltrate.

The group set off, moving stealthily through the shadows as they approached Felix's stronghold.

As they reached the entrance, Kai gave a nod, and Mia took position, her bow at the ready.

Alex turned to Jasmine.

Alex:You know what to do.

Jasmine nodded, and with a wave of her hand, the doors to the stronghold burst open.

The group charged inside, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

But as they entered the stronghold, they were met with a surprise. Felix was waiting for them, a sly smile spreading across his face.

Felix: Welcome, Alex. I've been expecting you.

Alex's eyes narrowed as he faced Felix.

Alex: You're a hard man to kill, Felix.

Felix smiled.

Felix:I'm a hard man to kill because I'm not a man at all. I'm a monster.

As Felix spoke, his body began to shift and contort, his limbs elongating and his skin turning as sticky shade of green.

Alex's eyes widened in horror.

Alex: What are you?

Felix's smile grew wider.

Felix:I'm a creature of the night, a being of pure evil. And I'm going to destroy you, Alex.

With a snarl, Felix launched himself at Alex, his claws swiping through the air.

Alex dodged and waved, avoiding Felix's attacks with ease.

But Felix was relentless, his blows coming faster and faster. Alex stumbled back, his eyes scanning the room for an escape.

That's when he saw it, a glint of silver in the corner of the room. It was a stake, sharpened to a deadly point.

Alex's eyes looked onto the stake, and he knew what he had to do. With a fierce cry, Alex launched himself at Felix, with the stake in his hand.

The creature let out a deafening screech as it dissipated into nothingness. Alex stood panting, his chest heaving with exertion.

He had done it. He had defeated Felix. But as he turned to his friends, he saw that they were staring at him in, speechless and shock.
