Chapter 6

As they entered the mansion, Mia couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that she was in a world of vampires and danger, and she wasn't sure if she was ready. But she looked at Alex she knew that she had to trust him. He had promised to keep her safe and she believed him. As they settled into the mansion, Kai pulled aside Alex.

Kai:We need to talk.

Alex nodded, as the walked to a nearby room.

Kai: Jasmine is not the only one who's after Mia. There are others, Alex. Others that will stop at nothing to get what they want.

Alex's eyes narrowed.

Alex: what are you talking about?

Kai hesitated before answering.

Kai:I'm talking about the council. They're a group of powerful vampires who govern our kind. And they're not happy about your relationship with Mia.

Alex's face hardened.

Alex:I don't care about the council. They can go to hell for all I care. But all I know is that I'll do whatever it takes to keep Mia safe.

Kai nodded in agreement.

Kai:I know you will, Alex. But we need to be careful. The council is not to be underestimated.

As they talked, Mia wandered around the mansion, exploring it's many rooms. She stumbled upon a library, her eyes widened as she scanned the shelves.

Mia:wow, This is amazing.

Suddenly, she had a voice behind her. She turned to see a figure standing in the doorway. It was a woman with long curly hair and piercing green eyes. Mia's heart skipped a beat as she realized towards was.

JASMINE.

Jasmine smiled,her eyes glinting with malice.

Jasmine:Well, well, well.Look what we have here. The little human,all alone and vulnerable.

Mia stood her ground, trying to hide her fear.

Mia: What do you want, Jasmine?

Jasmine chuckled.

Jasmine: Oh, I want many things.But most of all,I want Alex to pay for what he did to me.

Mia's eyes narrowed.

Mia: What did he do??

Jasmine's smile grew wider.

Jasmine:He left me, of course.He thought he was too good for me, that he could just walk away and leave me heartbroken.

Mia's expression softened.
