“You’re learning,” the Seeker admitted, brushing off a speck of dust from his robe. “But you’re still not ready to face me.”
Ryuzen gritted his teeth. His Multi-Class Limit Break had allowed him to push the Seeker back, but he could tell—it wasn’t enough.
Not yet.
The system alert echoed in his mind.

With a single step, he disappeared.
Ryuzen’s instincts screamed. He barely had time to shift his stance before—

Time itself trembled.

The Seeker’s eyes narrowed. “Oh?”
Ryuzen felt it immediately—the gift of time control.

He vanished before the Seeker’s next strike landed, reappearing behind him a fraction of a second before reality caught up.
His blade sliced forward.
For the first time, the Seeker’s expression shifted to surprise.

A stunned silence filled the battlefield.
Then, the Seeker laughed.
“Impressive.” He raised his hand, dark chains of energy forming in the air. “But let’s see how long you can keep up.”
The chains shot forward, dozens at once, twisting and writhing like living creatures.
Ryuzen didn’t panic.
He closed his eyes.
And activated his newfound power.

Time around him slowed to a crawl.
The world became a blur—the chains moved like they were stuck in thick liquid.
Ryuzen stepped around them effortlessly, dodging each one with ease.
Then, he attacked.
His blade moved faster than light, striking the Seeker’s defense before he could react. Sparks exploded as their weapons clashed—Ryuzen’s speed now matched the Seeker’s power.
This was it.

The fight escalated. The Seeker conjured massive spheres of dark energy, sending them crashing toward Ryuzen like meteorites.

Ryuzen smirked.

They rushed forward at the same time.

“…Checkmate,” Ryuzen muttered.
A pause.
Then, the Seeker grinned.
And stepped back.
“Not bad.” He flicked his hand, and the battlefield reset. The damage, the destruction—all of it vanished in an instant.
Ryuzen’s breath caught. What?!
The Seeker dusted himself off. “I wasn’t actually trying to kill you. This was a test.”
Ryuzen clenched his fists. “A test?”
The Seeker nodded. “And you passed.”
A system notification appeared before Ryuzen.
