she straightens her dress and fixes her hair and leaves the room like nothing happens
Zhenyu sits there, motionless.
That sentence plays on a loop in his head.
“You’re not my son. You’re my shame.”
“If Jinyuan had been my son-"
He crumples forward, gasping like the air’s been punched out of him.
No screaming. No dramatic collapse.
Just silent sobs, shoulders shaking, his face buried in his hands.
After few mins Jinyuan enters the room
His eyes red and hands trembling

*kneels down and talk softly*
