Rin stood stiff, the atmosphere became dark....silence pervaded all over the entire house. No one made a sound nor cough. Trinity looked at the kids for a brief moment wondering how they were going to protect them in that very moment, she then looked at her old friends and they did the same and read her mind. Paul gripped the couch's arm rest tightly leaning forward a bit. The Strange Man saw it with his side eye but didn't react. Everyone was stuck froze at their current pose. Rin looked again at Tiffany for a brief moment the he finally took off upstairs as the Strange Man reacted and Tiffany did the same as she grabbed the knife from the kitchen table and stabbed it into his back and he grunted and looked back over his shoulder apolitically and threw a massive punch to her face then Trinity rushed and stood in front of her and took the hit as she fell on the table. "Mom!!", Tiffany called out. "Run!! All of you!!", Trinity yelled and they all headed upstairs. Trinity's lower lip had broken a bit. Tiffany stood at the entrance of upstairs and waited for Chloe and the rest to climb up and lastly followed. "Ugh typical, daughter", Trinity said. "Like mother like daughter", Calvin said helping her up. "Yep, always trying to protect everyone first", Harla said. The Strange Man attempted to rush upstairs but was hit against his shoulder by Fidnland with his shoulder and he fell aside and quickly stood up. "You're in my way", The Strange Man said. "Well, we... can see that, but, let's just...work things out? I'm guessing that's a no,....that is a no face, right?....Right", Harla spoke. "Fine,...I'll remove you then" Tiffany and the rest got into Chloe's room. "Rin?!", Tiffany rushed to him and embraced him,"uh gosh", she broke the hug. "You okay?", Rin asked. "Yeah,...we, our parents are holding him off,...but we have no idea if they're still okay", Tiffany said. "They are,...they will be why do you have to be pessimistic all the time?", Chloe said. "I'm just saying exactly what's happening Chloe", Tiffany said. "Guys? Escape?", Riley said. "Oh yeah, I was just about to jump out of the window", Rin said. "Whichever way that get us out of here", Marko said. "Let's go", Max said. "Wait!", Tiffany halted. "What? We don't have time Tiffany", Chloe said. "I know that,...but, what if he wants us to jump?", she questioned. "What?", Marko asked. "What if it was he's intention for us to head here and jump,....because I mean after a jump from up here to down there once we land down, there is a brief delay for us to be on our feet...what if he's waiting for that? What if he predicted it?", Tiffany realized. "So basically speaking letting Rin evade was part of his plan too?", Riley asked. "Yeah, to lead us here so we can jump, he could have reached Rin conveniently and he could've kil-", she faced down as she sighed and clenched her fists. "Well okay but...how do we know its what he's actually implying?", Marko asked. "Because....", Riley said as she looked back at the door. "He's not coming" The door opened rapidly wide and they all startled. It was Calvin. "Dad?", Riley spoke. "Yeah, honey, he's gone", he said. "Dad you really sure? This is The Strange Man we're talking about", Riley said. "He's gone honey, we fought him off", he replied. "What a relief", Riley sighed. "Gosh", Marko said. They all started to walk, just until... "Wait!", Tiffany halted. "Tiffany?", Max said. "What now?", Chloe questioned. "You fought him off huh?", she asked. "Yeah", he replied. "The Strange Man? You fought him off?", she asked again. "Of course we fought him off", he replied. "Tiffany?", Rin said. "No way, its way too easy", she said. "Now you're just overreacting, come on, Riley let's go home", he said and Riley attempted to go then Tiffany pulled her back. "What the hell!! Tiffany", Riley yelled. "You're not going anywhere", she said. "Well news flash Tiffany, you're not my dad", Riley said facing her. "I didn't say I was", she replied. "Pull me again and I'll break you", Riley said. "I'm sensing Aliah vibe right about now", Marko said lowly. "Break me? Baby I will mess you up", Tiffany replied. "Guys....come on, cut it out", Chloe said. "You're way more deep into this,...mph, the so-called mastermind", Riley said and turned around then Tiffany pulled her again as she massively slapped Tiffany's cheek that a sound was produced and pervaded all over the entire room. Tiffany froze still bent to the side from the slap. No one made a sound, quite shocked with their eyes open. "Hey, you gonna let her slap your girl like that", Marko asked Rin. "Well....not my fight", Rin said. "Uh,...but still", Marko said. "Still what? Let's say I intervene, try to stop her, knowing her up until now, she'll struggle even if you want to reason with her, then Max over here will intervene, since she's his girl and probably that would lead us to fight, which would be pointless. You regard yourself as a peacemaker, yet you ought to rush into reckless decisions without logic. How pathetic, if that's how you think then you're naive as you're doomed", Rin elaborated with his cold side eye locked at Marko. "Damn he's pissed", Marko said in his mind. "Did you ever grab a thought if The Strange Man is behind this too?", Tiffany said with her head still tilted to the other side. "What do you mean?", Chloe asked. "He aims to grab leverage whenever he's at a disadvantage,...and it actually seems like that's what is happening here,...right Calvin?", Tiffany said as she glared at Calvin. Calvin sighed. "You're just like your mother,...always going toe to toe with the Strange Man,...you really know how he operates do you?", he questioned. "Sometimes", she replied. "Wait,..you said The Strange Man always grabs leverage whenever he is cornered,...right? So does that mean that-", Riley realized. "Yes ,he's got one of us as of now, Harla", Calvin said. "Wait,..my mom?", Chloe stood up front. "Yeah,...he's got her by her neck right now waiting to stab her there, he told me to head up here and lie to you all that we managed to get the upper hand and yet it was the other way around,..so I obeyed,..just to stall for Harla not to be killed", Calvin said. "Mmm", Tiffany paused for a moment, she bit her finger thumb nail." Okay, let's do it,..we'll go" "What?", Riley asked. "Look, The Strange Man, is expecting us to take the bait and at the same time, he might know that I won't take the bait,.. Chloe is there anything useful at the backyard that we could use for a weapon?", she asked. "Um, no but, there's a store room at the back, there are shovels and axes in there", Chloe replied. "Okay, here's what we're going to do, Calvin here is gonna escort you all to the diner, but,...act like you don't know what's happening, act like you believed that The Strange Man is gone then the moment you arrived down, act shocked, and begin to blame and lash at Calvin, The Strange Man is not gonna notice that I I'm not there for only a short time, but he eventually will. Calvin where is The Strange Man standing with Harla?", Tiffany asked. "Uhh, behind the couch, North from where we will arrive", he answered. "Okay, so I'm gonna sneak to the back enter from behind and hit him as hard as I possibly can, I might need you all to get a bit dramatic while lashing at Calvin, while I try my excellent best to be stealth", she said. "Are you sure?" You don't want me to do it?", Marko said. "No, I should do this", Tiffany said.

Tiffany said. "Its probably gonna be a 50/50 gamble, either he's gonna fall for it, or see it coming",
"Okay, any idea is what we need right now, no matter how stupid", Calvin said
"Yeah, I just hope this works", Chloe said panting hard.
"Heyy, its gonna be okay", Marko placed his hand on her shoulder.
"He has my freaking mom by the neck Marko", she attempted to weep.
"Hey, come here", he said as she started crying in his arms.
"Okay we should go, we've delayed enough", Calvin said and they left the room and Tiffany went through the window at the back.
They went downstairs, Tiffany saw them as she peeked a bit.
She reached the wooden store room and opened it, "okay, let's do this", she said to herself.
She went to the back and peeked again, she saw the Strange Man holding Harla about to stab her in the neck. She deliberately lifted the window open. She heard them making a commotion what they agreed on earlier. She was holding a shovel.
She got in and started to sneak behind slowly.
She swang it aiming for the back head then it grabbed the shovel without looking. It waved it with Tiffany holding on as she fell on the table and rolled down with her hand on her back.
"Tiffany!!", Rin yelled. Tiffany grunted.
"I've predicted that", he said
"Let her go!! Right now!!", Chloe exclaimed, her tears on the edge of her eyes.
"Honey its ok, its ok,.... Okay thats a lie its not okay, I don't wanna freaking die,... Shit not today!!," Harla said.
"I want you to watch as she bleeds in my hands, and takes her final breath", It said.
"No please, don't", Chloe weeped more.
"Say goodbye,.. to Mama", he said as a strike came from nowhere at his back head and he froze.
"Uhm",Harla spoke, quite flummoxed. It dropped down with an axe buried in its head as Harla startled and stood away.
"Sorry we're late", it was Camilla, from behind.
