🌊 Setting Course for Ironroot Island

The Roger Pirates—Roger, Tao, Lina, Echo, and Aero—were sailing smoothly, but their small boat The Jolly Roger was taking damage from rough tides.

Echo (tapping the deck):

“This ship won’t last much longer… We need a real shipwright.”

Lina:

“And a cook. If I eat Tao’s seaweed stew again, I’ll go blind.”

Roger nodded, looking ahead.

Roger:

“Then we find both. Ironroot Island—it’s known for shipbuilders and chefs.”

🛠️ Meet Troy – The Shipwright

On the bustling Ironroot Island, the crew heard loud hammering from a workshop near the cliff edge.

Inside, a muscular, wild-haired man with goggles smashed steel with a hammer that crackled with electricity.

Tao:

“That hammer’s infused…”

Roger (stepping forward):

“Yo, you build ships?”

Stranger (grinning):

“I create legends. Name’s Troy Flint. I build with my hands, heart, and soul—and I punch with all three too.”

Roger explained they needed a new ship. Troy listened, then smirked.

Troy:

“I’ll build your ship… if you beat me in a challenge.”

🛠️ Troy’s Challenge: The Hammer Test

Troy handed Roger a small custom hammer and pointed to a half-built steel rudder.

Troy:

“Shape it. One strike. If it bends perfectly—I join you.”

Roger took the hammer, focused his Haki into his hand, then struck.

CLANG!

The steel bent like paper—perfect symmetry.

Troy (eyes wide):

“…Well damn. You’ve got spirit, kid. Alright, I’m in.”

🔥 Meet Sera – The Cook

While Troy packed tools, the crew smelled something amazing coming from the local tavern.

Inside, a young woman with fiery red hair was flipping meat with a flaming pan, commanding the kitchen like a general.

Sera:

“I said no burnt onions! You burn my onions, I burn you!”

Roger took one bite of her steak and melted.

Roger (tears in his eyes):

“This… is heaven.”

Sera:

“You’re not the first pirate to say that.”

She explained she was once head chef for a Royal Fleet, but left after being blamed for poisoning a noble (it wasn’t her).

Roger asked her to join them. She refused—until Aero dropped his plate and said:

Aero (serious):

“Your food… tastes like home.”

Sera paused. Her fiery eyes softened.

Sera:

“Fine. But if you make me cook seaweed soup, I will poison you.”

🏴 New Crew Members Join

Troy Flint – Shipwright

Sera Ember – Cook

With Troy already designing a new ship and Sera storing supplies, the crew was finally starting to look like a real pirate crew.

As the crew celebrated, a new wanted poster arrived on the tavern wall:

“Captain of the Jolly Roger Pirates. Growing threat. Approach with caution.”

Roger laughed, holding the poster proudly.

Roger:

“We’re just getting started.”
