Episode 2 – “Debt, Dogs, and Darkness”

The streets were soaked in blood again.

Yogaro dragged his blade behind him, walking away from another corpse—another low-level demon. It wasn’t even a challenge.

But still… no powers. No awakening. Just pain.

Later That Night

Yogaro sat inside the rusted metal shed he called home. The ceiling leaked. The wind howled. His coat was torn and soaked in blood. Again.

He laid back with a sigh, staring at the broken light swinging from the ceiling.

Then he heard scratching.

He sat up fast, knife ready.

From the shadows, a creature limped forward. A demon dog—lean, its fur dark and tattered. One eye covered with a rusted chainsaw that ran down its skull like a mask.

The dog growled… then wagged its tail.

“…The hell are you?” Yogaro muttered.

The dog limped closer and laid beside him, its chainsaw still buzzing faintly. Yogaro blinked. Then smirked.

“Guess you’re my dog now.”

He tossed a piece of bread.

The dog devoured it.

“I’ll call you… Chains.”

At the Ramen Shop – With Renji

Yogaro sat across from Renji at a street-side ramen cart. Steam curled in the air as the two devoured their bowls.

Renji slurped noodles. “Still no powers?”

Yogaro shook his head. “Still nothing. I kill demons. I bleed. I sleep. Repeat.”

Renji leaned back, arms behind his head. “You’ll awaken soon. Just stop thinking so hard. It'll hit you like a truck.”

Yogaro muttered, “What I want is demon powers… and maybe a pair of girl panties.”

Renji choked on his soup.

“You’re insane,” Renji said, laughing.

“Maybe,” Yogaro smirked.

The Mafia Boss – S.K.

A tall building. Top floor. The room smelled of smoke and danger.

The old man with a cigarette still glued to his lips stared out the window. S.K., the Mafia Boss, turned slowly as Yogaro entered.

“You’re late,” he said, blowing out smoke.

“I brought the payment,” Yogaro said, tossing a small black bag onto the table.

S.K. opened it, counting silently. Then nodded.

“You’re close to finishing the debt,” he said. “Few more kills. Keep pushing.”

Yogaro turned to leave.

“Yogaro…” S.K. called.

“…Yeah?”

“Don’t die before it’s paid.”

Back in the Shed

Renji had left Yogaro a box of food.

Yogaro sat on the floor with Chains, tossing him bones.

“You’re the only one who gets me,” he whispered.

Chains rested his head on Yogaro’s lap.

They played. Just for a moment. Just peace.

The Demon Attack – Village on Fire

A scream tore through the air. A village nearby was under siege.

Yogaro and Renji raced through the trees.

Buildings burned. People ran.

A towering demon snake—black scales, yellow eyes, and smoke pouring from its mouth—towered over the rooftops.

“You take the left!” Renji shouted, already transforming—his eyes glowing, demon fox tail whipping behind him.

“I got the heart!” Yogaro growled.

They fought—slicing, dodging, striking.

The demon roared, wrapping around Renji.

Yogaro yelled, rage burning inside. Something inside him cracked.

BOOM.

A black aura exploded around him, dark flames licking his body.

His eyes glowed red.

He leapt forward, blade in hand, chains wrapped around his arms.

The demon hissed. “You… you weren’t supposed to awaken yet…”

Yogaro growled, voice deeper, colder.

“Burn.”

He plunged the blade into its skull—dark delicious flames erupted from the wound, consuming the demon.

It screamed as it burned alive.

Demon’s Last Words:

“You… you are no hunter… You are one of us… your blood… is cursed…”

Then silence.

Ash scattered in the wind.

Aftermath

Renji stared at him, wide-eyed. “Yogaro… what was that?”

Yogaro wiped the blood from his mouth.

“…I think I finally got what I wanted.”

Chains barked once in the distance.

Yogaro smirked.

“Now it begins.”
