Episode 6: “The Journey Begins”

[Opening Scene – Red Hawk Village Port, Early Morning]

The Crimson Fang Pirates are loading their ship, the Crimson Serpent, getting ready to set sail after several days in Red Hawk. Kai stands at the dock, staring at them with admiration.

Captain Sharn walks up to him, arms crossed, wind blowing his red coat.

Sharn:

“You’ve got potential, kid. But we’re not a daycare. You want to join us one day? Train like your life depends on it. ’Cause it will.”

As the crew prepares to board, they all pause, turning toward Kai.

[Crew Introduction – One by One]

Each member steps forward to introduce themselves:

1. Sharn (Captain):

“Captain Sharn. Swordmaster. Wielder of Divine Hope.”

2. Flint (First Mate):

“Name’s Flint. Sharp eye, sharper instincts. Don’t sneak up on me—I’ll know before you breathe.”

3. Mira (Navigator):

“Mira. I see storms before they form. You’ll get lost without me.”

4. Bolt (Sniper):

“Bolt. If you blink, you’re already shot. Try not to blink.”

5. Rongo (Cook):

“Rongo! Best chef this side of the Grand Line. You’ll taste heaven before you die!”

6. Whisper (Silent Assassin):

(Just gives a nod. Doesn’t say a word.)

7. Jax (Shipwright):

“Jax. I build, I break, I rebuild. That’s how life works.”

8. Kani (Fishman Fighter):

“Call me Kani. I’ll wrestle a sea king for fun.”

9. Lynn (Musician):

“Lynn. I play tunes that make men cry. Or fight. Depends on the mood.”

They board the Crimson Serpent, sails unfurl, and the ship begins to leave the harbor.

Kai (shouting):

“I’ll get stronger! I’ll find you again!”

Captain Sharn, standing on deck, gives a rare smile and raises a hand in silent farewell.

[Cut to – Kai’s Training Begins]

Back at the hill near the edge of the forest, Kai trains with Ace and Sabo. All three boys are sweating, panting, pushing themselves harder.

Ace (grinning):

“You’ve changed, Kai. You’ve got fire in you now.”

Kai (gritting teeth while punching a log):

“I have to change.”

Suddenly, Garros arrives—wearing a training gi and holding two wooden staffs.

Garros (smirking):

“Thought I’d drop by and see what the rookies are up to.”

He throws one staff at Sabo.

Garros:

“Sabo, with me. Show them what I taught you.”

[Intense Training Session Begins]

Garros trains Kai, Sabo, and Ace in combat form, using swift staff techniques, focus drills, and breathing methods.

Sabo uses his staff skills to fight off both Kai and Ace.

Kai stretches his limbs, adapting his Devil Fruit abilities to combine with martial arts.

They run laps through the jungle, dodge falling logs, train at night with blindfolds.

[Rek Joins In]

Mid-training, Rek arrives in cheetah form, landing from a tree.

Rek (grinning):

“Can’t let you boys have all the fun.”

He shifts into his human form, then lion form, then back—showing mastery of his shapeshifting Devil Fruit, the Zou Zou no Mi (Mythical Type): Beast Shapeshifter Fruit.

Rek trains Kai on close-combat techniques using elasticity and speed. He teaches him to:

Use his stretchy limbs to create shock punches.

Bounce off trees for unpredictable angles.

Deflect attacks using rebounding arms.

[Amara Observes From Afar]

Up on a ridge, Amara watches the training quietly, her flower hair flowing in the breeze.

Amara (to herself):

“Those boys... they’re growing fast. But this world... it’s cruel.”

She turns and walks away into the woods.

[Closing Scene – Nightfall Campfire]

Kai, Sabo, Ace, and Rek sit around a fire, bruised, bandaged, and exhausted.
