Aisha should’ve walked away. She should’ve.
But Vihaan was right there, his breath warm against her skin, his fingers grazing her hip like he was daring her to do something about it.
And God help her, she wanted to.
Her lips parted, but no words came out. Because what was she supposed to say? That he was in her head every damn night? That she still felt the way his hands had gripped her, like she was his?
No. That would be admitting too much.
So instead, she whispered, “Then don’t.”
Vihaan stilled. His fingers flexed against her waist, his jaw ticking like he was barely holding himself back.
Then—he wasn’t holding back anymore.
One second, he was staring at her like he was at war with himself. The next, she was trapped—her back pressed against the counter, Vihaan’s body flush against hers.
His hand slid up, fingers brushing her jaw, tilting her chin so she had no choice but to look at him.
“You don’t get to play this game, Aisha,” he murmured, voice low, wrecked.
Her breath hitched. “Who said I was playing?”
Vihaan exhaled sharply—like she’d just pushed him over the edge.
Then his lips crashed onto hers.
It was different this time. No teasing, no hesitation. Just need.
Aisha gasped, and he took advantage, deepening the kiss, his tongue sliding against hers in a way that made her knees weak. She clutched at his shirt, pulling him closer, as if there was any space left between them.
Vihaan growled softly against her lips, hands gripping her waist like he was afraid she’d disappear. And hell, she wasn’t going anywhere.
Not now. Not when he kissed her like this.
Like he was starving for her.
Like he owned her.
Aisha barely registered when his hands moved—one gripping her hip, the other sliding up her back, his fingers tangling in her hair.
She moaned, and Vihaan shuddered.
“Fuck, Aisha,” he murmured, pressing his forehead against hers, breathing hard.
She was breathing just as hard. “Told you I wasn’t playing.”
Vihaan let out a soft, breathless laugh, but his grip didn’t loosen. If anything, it tightened.
Then his lips brushed against hers again—slow, teasing, making her ache.
“You should be,” he whispered. “Because if we keep going…” His fingers trailed down her spine, sending a shiver through her. “I won’t be able to stop.”
Aisha swallowed. Her heart was pounding.
Neither of them spoke. Neither of them moved.
Then, slowly, deliberately, she leaned up—just enough for their lips to brush again.
“Then don’t.”
And just like that—Vihaan broke.
Vihaan didn’t hesitate.
The second those two words left Aisha’s lips, something in him snapped.
His hands tightened on her waist, lifting her onto the counter in one swift motion. Aisha gasped, gripping his shoulders, but he was already there—slotting himself between her legs, his body pressing into hers in a way that left no space, no doubts.
No escape.
Not that she wanted one.
Vihaan’s mouth crashed onto hers again, harder this time, deeper—like he was making up for every second they hadn’t been doing this. His fingers slid under her shirt, his touch burning against her skin.
Aisha shivered.
She should’ve been thinking about where they were—should’ve been thinking about how easy it would be for someone to walk in.
But all she could think about was him.
The way his lips moved against hers, the way his hands gripped her like he was afraid she’d slip away. The way his breath turned ragged when she dragged her nails down his back, her legs tightening around him, pulling him impossibly closer.
“Fucking hell, Aisha,” he groaned, burying his face against her neck, his teeth grazing her skin.
Aisha’s head tilted back, her own breath shaky. “You started this,” she whispered, fingers tangling in his hair, pulling just enough to make him growl.
Vihaan’s hands slid lower, gripping her thighs, spreading them just a little more. His lips moved up to her ear, voice rough, unsteady.
“And I’m going to finish it.”
Aisha barely had time to process what he meant before he lifted her off the counter, his grip strong, possessive.
Her heart slammed. “Vihaan—”
“Shh.” His lips brushed her jaw, his smirk wicked. “I warned you, didn’t I?”
He started walking.
Straight to one of the empty rooms.
Straight into whatever came next.
And this time?
There was no stopping them.
