Episode 9

Dunk, I’m actually planning to organize an annual art festival at our art gallery, and I’d love for you to help our art curator with the planning and execution of the event, Kanya said, looking excited.

Sure, Kanya Mom, I’d be happy to help! Dunk responded eagerly.

Kanya smiled warmly, impressed by Dunk’s enthusiasm. Wow, what an improvement! she said, noticing how much Dunk had changed since they first met.

Dunk felt a little embarrassed at her praise. Please, don't point it out. I'm already embarrassed, he said with a shy smile.

So, what kind of activities are you planning for the festival, and when is it going to happen? Dunk asked.

Kanya thought for a moment. I still have to decide on the theme and everything. It’s going to be next month, though. Do you have any special theme ideas in mind? she asked, hoping Dunk might have a suggestion.

Dunk scratched his head. How about we go for a dark academia theme? It’s really popular right now and would fit well with the atmosphere of our gallery.

That’s a great idea! said Chen, who had been listening in. I’ve seen it everywhere, and it’s definitely something people would love.

Kanya beamed at the suggestion.

Yeah, let’s do it, Mom. It would be a hit, said Saran, who was also in the room.

Alright then, we’ll plan out all the activities in detail. We should start today itself to make sure everything is ready on time, Kanya said with determination.

Yeah! Eat quickly, and then we’ll head over to the gallery. I’ll introduce you to the staff there, she added excitedly.

After a quick breakfast, Kanya, Dunk, and Chen headed to the art gallery. Since it was the weekend, most of the staff was present. The team was preparing for the grand art festival that would be held later in the year.

When they arrived, Kanya introduced Dunk to the art curator, Leo, who was in charge of organizing all the exhibitions. After a brief introduction, Leo and Dunk headed to a private room for a one-on-one discussion about the upcoming event.

Meanwhile, Archen, looked a little upset and glared in their direction. Kanya noticed and asked, Why are you glaring at them, Archen?

Nothing, Mom, Chen replied quickly, trying to avoid the topic as he headed to his mom's cabin.

Once Leo and Dunk finished their private discussion, they joined the rest of the staff for a larger meeting where they discussed the theme, dress code, planned art activities, and food for the event.

I’m so proud of you, Dunk, Kanya said with a smile. You’re doing an excellent job for someone who’s still new to curating an exhibition.

Thank you, Kanya Mom, Dunk said, feeling proud but humble at the same time.

Kanya stood up, gathering her things. I have some work to do now. You two go home; Saran will be alone there, she said.

Bye, Mom, Dunk and Chen both said as they left the gallery together.

It was a busy day, but they were all looking forward to the art festival and all the exciting plans that were beginning to take shape.
