Noah didn’t say another word to Thalassius. His heart was too heavy, his mind too clouded with pain and betrayal. Without looking back, he turned and walked away, disappearing into the depths of the sea with the necklace still around his neck.
He swam as far as he could, needing to escape the memories, the lies, and the cruel love Thalassius had forced upon him. The ocean felt endless, yet not far from the border of Thalassius’s kingdom, he found himself in unfamiliar waters.
Before he could even catch his breath, a large figure blocked his path—a towering, muscular man with dark blue-gray skin, sharp features, and piercing silver eyes. His long, sleek black hair floated around him like the current itself, and his powerful shark-like tail flicked effortlessly in the water. His presence was commanding, his aura dangerous yet alluring.
The sharkman smirked as he took in Noah’s appearance, his gaze lingering on his belly. “Well, well… What do we have here? A beautiful little human turned merman, all alone in my waters. And—” he narrowed his eyes, sniffing slightly before smirking wider, “—carrying a child? Interesting. Tell me, did that arrogant sea king do this to you?”
Noah hesitated but then nodded slightly, still catching his breath.
The sharkman scoffed, shaking his head. “Of course, it was him. Thalassius never did know how to handle something as delicate as you.” His eyes darkened with something unreadable before softening just a little. “Come, you look like you need rest.”
Noah hesitated, but exhaustion weighed on him. Before he could decide, the sharkman reached out and gently grabbed his wrist. His touch was firm, yet surprisingly careful.
“You’re safe here,” the sharkman said smoothly. “Unlike that bastard, I know how to treat something precious.”
Meanwhile, far in the distance, Thalassius had felt the disturbance in his waters. When he realized where Noah had gone, his expression darkened with fury.
“Damn it…” Thalassius clenched his fists, his gills flaring in anger. “Of all places, why did he end up with him?”
He knew exactly who that sharkman was—the Shark King, his greatest rival.
Thalassius stormed into the Shark King's territory, his eyes blazing with fury as he spotted Noah standing close to the massive sharkman. The sight made his blood boil. He didn’t hesitate—he lunged at the sharkman, his sharp claws aiming for his rival’s throat.
But the Shark King was faster. With a single powerful movement, he dodged Thalassius’s attack and countered with a crushing grip around his waist. In an instant, Thalassius was flipped and slammed against the seabed, pinned beneath the sharkman’s massive strength.
Thalassius growled, struggling, but the Shark King pressed down harder, smirking as he restrained the enraged sea king.
“You’re pathetic, Thalassius,” the Shark King taunted, leaning in close. His sharp teeth glinted as he spoke. “Coming into my domain, thinking you could fight me? And for what? To take back the human you abandoned?”
“I never abandoned him!” Thalassius hissed, glaring up at his rival.
The Shark King’s smirk widened as he tightened his grip. “Really? Then tell me—how could you impregnate a male human?” He scoffed, shaking his head in amusement. “You must be truly desperate.”
Thalassius’s face twisted in anger, but before he could speak, the Shark King lowered himself, pressing his weight against him.
“I think you need to be reminded who the real king of the sea is,” the Shark King whispered darkly, his sharp nails trailing down Thalassius’s sides. “Maybe if I take you instead, you’ll finally understand what it feels like to be powerless.”
Noah watched in shock, his heart pounding as he saw Thalassius—normally so powerful and untouchable—completely subdued beneath the Shark King. A strange mix of emotions swirled in his chest.
Was this… revenge for everything Thalassius had done to him?
Or was this something far worse?
Noah crossed his arms, watching the scene unfold with an amused smirk. Despite the tension in the water, he couldn’t help but chuckle at how the Shark King had Thalassius completely pinned.
“Awwww, you two look so cute together,” Noah teased, tilting his head playfully. “Like, seriously. You could be a family—just imagine it! A powerful shark king and a sneaky little merman king? That kind of breed would be amazing.”
Both Thalassius and the Shark King froze, turning to glare at Noah.
Noah grinned wider and tapped his chin thoughtfully. “You know… now that I think about it, the Shark King is definitely the top, and Thalassius? You’d be the bottom.”
“What?!” Thalassius hissed, his face turning red with fury.
The Shark King scoffed but smirked. “Hah, not a bad idea—”
“No!” Thalassius snapped. He shoved at the Shark King, finally breaking free from his grip. “I’m not the bottom, and I sure as hell wouldn’t be with him!”
The Shark King let out a deep laugh, flicking his tail lazily. “Well, Noah, you might be onto something—but there’s just one problem.” He turned his sharp gaze to Noah, his smirk widening.
Both the Shark King and Thalassius spoke at the same time:
“We want you in the relationship instead.”
Noah’s playful grin instantly disappeared. His eyes widened in horror as he took a step back. “Wait… what?”
Thalassius growled, his tail flicking angrily as he glared at the Shark King. "You will not touch him!" he spat, his protective instincts flaring.
The Shark King smirked, his sharp teeth glinting. "Oh? But Noah is carrying your child—which means he’s part of this world now," he said smoothly, turning his gaze to Noah. "And since you two had your little moment yesterday," he added, his voice dripping with amusement, "it only seems fair that I get my turn today."
Noah’s face turned bright red, his body tensing in shock. "Excuse me?!" he blurted out, stepping back instinctively.
The Shark King chuckled darkly. "Come now, little human. If Thalassius gets to put his seed in you, why shouldn’t I? You’re already carrying one royal’s child—why not make it two?" His tail flicked through the water as he leaned in closer.
Noah swallowed hard, feeling his heart race. "I-I—"
"And as for you," the Shark King turned back to Thalassius with a dangerous grin. "You’re mine now, and you’re going to pay for what you did to my poor, sweet Noah."
Thalassius bared his teeth, fury and jealousy burning in his eyes. "Like hell I am!"
The tension between the three crackled in the water, the currents shifting as Noah realized he had way bigger problems than he ever expected.
