Chapter Six
Photoshoot
"Everyone, please prepare for your positions," Ankhbayar instructed his staff.
His staff promptly moved to their designated places, each carrying out their respective duties to ensure the success of the upcoming photoshoot featuring the renowned Dolgoon triplets. The makeup artists meticulously applied the final touches to the triplets' faces, enhancing their beauty with exquisite accessories. Meanwhile, the photographer meticulously checked his camera, ensuring that every shot would be perfect. Once the makeup artists had completed their work, the triplets were ready for their photo session.
The first to pose was Bolormaa. As she elegantly posed, she evoked the grace of a ballerina performing on a magical stage reminiscent of "The Nutcracker" and "The Four Realms." Dressed in a flowing, pristine silk gown, Bolormaa exuded charm with her trademark red bun and twin braids. Her captivating green emerald eyes sparkled with wonder, complementing her rosy cheeks and stunning appearance. The photographer captured her in various elegant poses, each showcasing her unique beauty.
Once Bolormaa's photo shoot was complete, it was Davaa's turn. She was elegantly attired in a white, puffed-sleeve dress paired with bloomers underneath a bell-shaped skirt. Additionally, she adorned an intricate bonnet and frilly gloves, giving her the appearance of a doll. Davaa portrayed a thoughtful young lady, seated on a bench with her hands resting on her face, while her wide green eyes gazed at the ground. Her charm exuded a sense of cuteness, with her free-flowing red hair cascading over her shoulders and a braided side hair elegantly positioned on the right side of her head. Her legs were crossed and she wore knee-high socks. Pink lips were slightly parted, and her blushing cheeks shone under the light. Much like Bolormaa, Davaa executed various poses that highlighted her innocence and charm.
Finally, it was Bilguun's turn. Her photoshoot featured her posing in a pristine women's button-front long-sleeve top and pleated skirt suit. Bilguun had the habit of clenching her hands, causing them to tighten whenever she felt nervous. Her eye contact was described as unusual and random, with little focus on the camera in front of her. These were symptoms of her being an autistic young woman, in addition to her shyness.Recognizing her conditions, the photographer took his time capturing photos of her whenever she struck a pose. Like her sisters, Bilguun possessed undeniable beauty with her short red hair, left braided side hair, enchanting emerald green eyes, glistening lips, double-lidded eyelashes, and androgynous porcelain face. Each photo of her was deemed worthy of being a masterpiece of art.
Once the photo shoots were completed, the makeup artist for the triplets removed their makeup, while the editor began working on enhancing their photos. Each photo of the triplets showcasing the clothing designed by Ankhbayar needed to be edited attractively and stunningly in order to persuade many readers of Mongolian Time's Fashion magazine to consider purchasing the clothes from the Erdene designer store. In the meantime, Dolgoon congratulated his triplet daughters on the successful photo shoots, using sign language as means of communication.
"You three have once again done an exceptional job," he praised, offering a thumbs up to his daughters. Bolormaa, Davaa, and Bilguun happily reciprocated the gesture and exchanged congratulations amongst themselves. Shortly after, their uncle approached them following a discussion with the editor regarding the photo shoot. He expressed gratitude to his nieces for delivering the best poses for the recent session.
"If you permit, may I treat the three of you to a visit to a refined café?" Ankhbayar proposed. He assured Bilguun that the café served her favorite Mongolian dumplings, Buuz. The autistic teenager displayed interest in the idea of visiting the upscale café as she made eye contact with her uncle and grinned cheerfully.
With that, Ankhbayar brought his brother-in-law and his nieces to an upscale cafe located just down the street from his fashion studio. The exterior of the cafe was adorned with vintage-themed decor, and a sign displaying a lengthy menu list was prominently placed outside. Upon entering, they were greeted by a Central Asian dog at the counter. Ankhbayar instructed his brother-in-law and nieces to choose a table while he proceeded to place their order. Having a clear understanding of his family members' preferences, he knew exactly what they would like to have for lunch.
Dolgoon and his daughters chose to sit at the back of the cafe, and Ankhbayar joined them afterward. He conversed with his brother-in-law while his nieces played with the cafe dog as it passed their table for customer service and patrol. Bolormaa stroked the dog's head, Davaa stroked its back, while Bilguun did not touch the dog because she is a cat lover. She simply watched her sisters playing with the dog until a Persian cat came near her, jumping through the window and meowing to gain her attention. This certainly caught Bilguun's attention, as she turned and chuckled happily. She gently pet the cat with love and care. In return, the Persian cat became attached to her, snuggling against her soft, porcelain hand.
"Look at them, brother-in-law. My nieces are so adorable and lovely that even animals love them," Ankhbayar said in awe.
"Well, they have inherited their mother's charm and loveliness," Dolgoon chuckled.
Soon, a waitress arrived at their table with the food Ankhbayar had ordered. The waitress placed a plate of Buuz for Bilguun, Mongolian steamed dumplings filled with meat and vegetables. A plate of Besharma, a dish of stir-fried meat and vegetables typically served with rice, was placed before Bolormaa. Similarly, a plate of sliced Aarul served with rice, Mongolian dried and salted meat, was placed before Davaa. Meanwhile, Ankhbayar enjoyed a plate of Italian aglio e olio spaghetti, while Dolgoon savored a meaty cream soup accompanied by bread. They paused for a moment of prayer before commencing their meal.
"How are the Buuz, Bilguun?" Ankhbayar inquired of his youngest niece.
"They are delightful, uncle. Thank you for treating me and my sisters," Bilguun responded, relishing the Mongolian dumplings. Bolormaa and Davaa expressed their gratitude to their uncle using sign language.
"You are most welcome. I would do anything for my beloved nieces," Ankhbayar replied. Dolgoon smiled warmly, observing his daughters enjoying their meal with their uncle.
After their dining experience, the triplets, Dolgoon, and Ankhbayar departed from the café. They made their way to the carpark where Dolgoon had parked his yellow HR-V car.
"Goodbye, see you next time, brother-in-law," Dolgoon stated as he extended his hand.
“Yes, until next time, brother-in-law,” Ankhbayar replied, shaking his hand.
“May I ask what your plans are once you arrive home?” Ankhbayar inquired.
"It is currently the school holiday, so I intend to watch some cooking shows while allowing the triplets to pursue their hobbies," Dolgoon responded.
“That sounds like a typical holiday routine,” Ankhbayar remarked before exchanging a glance with Bolormaa, who responded with a smug expression and a thumbs up. Dolgoon noticed this silent conversation and shook his head, understanding its nature.
"The dress you tailored for me fits perfectly, Ankhbayar. However, please refrain from doing so in the future,” Dolgoon requested.
"I regret to inform you that I cannot make any promises, neither can Bolormaa,” Ankhbayar replied, winking at Bolormaa.
Following the brief exchange, the triplets and their father entered the car. Once the engine started, Dolgoon drove them all home.
