Chapter Four
An Intense Fight
In search of his three daughters, Dolgoon walked through the deep pine forest, looking all around. He searched everywhere but couldn't find them, so he kept looking, not realizing that three pairs of eyes were watching him. Three shadowy figures were hiding in dark spots, making it hard for Dolgoon to spot them. One of them had two long blades, another had no weapons, and the last one had two guns. They patiently watched Dolgoon without him noticing.
When they saw that Dolgoon wasn't paying attention, the first figure signaled to the others. They quietly moved closer to Dolgoon, while the remaining figure followed him from the shadows of the pine forest. Their sharp green eyes never left Dolgoon. Suddenly, Dolgoon felt like someone or something was following him as he walked along the path.
As an experienced assassin for fifteen years, Dolgoon acted like he didn't know his stalker was following him. Suddenly, the shadowy figure emerged from the darkness of the pine tree, revealing themselves with blades in both hands. Silently they snuck up on Dolgoon from behind and leaped at him with a blade raised high. WHOOSH! Dolgoon caught her sword with his bare hands.
"You need to be quieter than just footsteps, my crystal," he told Bolormaa, who was attacking him with long blades.
Bolormaa smirked before swinging her other blade at her father. Dolgoon dodged the attack and stepped back. Bolormaa continued to slash at him, but he skillfully avoided her strikes. Frustrated, she came up with a new plan. She stabbed one sword into the ground and used the other to attack her father.
Dolgoon couldn't keep avoiding his daughter's sword attacks. When Bolormaa's sword came close to his face, he ducked and kicked at her. But she was quicker. She did a backflip, used her sword to boost herself up, and then kicked her dad before pulling out her sword and stepping back. The kick pushed Dolgoon back a bit.
He planted his feet firmly to brace against the kick and keep his balance. For a moment, he closed his eyes in response. When he opened them, Bolormaa had put her swords away and taken out knives, throwing them at Dolgoon. He dodged them all and ran towards her, throwing punches. But she flipped away and ran off. Dolgoon followed her through the forest.
As Bolormaa was running, she suddenly reached a dead end. When she turned around, she saw that her father had cornered her.
"It seems like there's no way you can escape now," Dolgoon sneered at his daughter.
Instead of panicking, Bolormaa confidently smiled at her father. Suddenly, Davaa leaped over her sister from the shadows of the forest and threw a punch at their father. Dolgoon blocked the punch with his arms. Davaa continued to throw punches at her father, engaging in a hand-to-hand fight with him. Despite Davaa's efforts, Dolgoon skillfully dodged all her attacks and fought back.
Everything seemed to be going well until a loud gunshot rang out, momentarily distracting Dolgoon. He quickly dodged the bullet and grabbed Davaa's fist. With impressive reflexes, Davaa swung her leg upwards and delivered a powerful kick to her father's face. Dolgoon was surprised by his daughter's strong kick and fell to the ground. Before he could stand up, Bilguun jumped out from the shadows with two guns, shooting at him.
Dolgoon quickly got up, avoiding the bullets. Bilguun kept shooting until a bullet grazed his chin. As Dolgoon stepped back, Davaa snuck up behind him and punched his back. Bolormaa attacked him with her swords. Soon, the triplets surrounded their father, putting him at a disadvantage.
Breathing heavily, Dolgoon knelt on the ground, tired. He touched the scratch on his face and saw the blood on his fingers. He smiled and said, “Finally…” as he got up and raised his hands in the air. “My daughters managed to defeat me!” he proudly announced. Hearing their father announced their success in beating him in a fight, Bolormaa, Davaa and Bilguun exchanged a happy look.
"Come here! Let me hug you all." Dolgoon opened his arms, welcoming his triplet daughters. The three girls graciously left their weapons on the ground and leaped into their father's warm embrace. Amidst the heartwarming moment, a sudden loud phone ring pierced the air, disrupting their peaceful reunion. Dolgoon gently released his daughters and retrieved his phone from his pocket, glancing at the caller ID.
"It’s your uncle Ankhbayar," Dolgoon remarked, checking the time on his phone. "Oh no, we're running late for your photoshoot. Your uncle must be quite upset." Initially taken aback, Dolgoon quickly regained his composure and answered the call, causing a momentary sense of apprehension in the triplets.
"Сайн уу, Ankhbayar. How are you-" Dolgoon began to greet his brother-in-law, only to be abruptly cut off by a stern, forbidding voice.
"Хадам ах, where are my nieces?" Ankhbayar demanded angrily, expressing his impatience.
"They're on their way, as promised," Dolgoon responded, exchanging a knowing look with his daughters as they discreetly hurried back to their house, ensuring no noise would reach their uncle's ears and further escalate his frustration.
"Oh my, the traffic jam here is no good." Dolgoon stated on the phone, trying to justify his delay.
"Indeed, my fashion studio is conveniently located in the city center. The traffic flows smoothly without any congestion," Ankhbayar pointed out, exposing Dolgoon's fib and causing him to feel anxious.
"If I don't see my nieces at my fashion studio within the next thirty minutes, I will have to address your tardiness in getting them to their photoshoot with their grandmother," Ankhbayar warned, referring to his triplet daughters' grandmother, leaving Dolgoon speechless.
"I-I understand! Please don't involve their grandmother," Dolgoon pleaded nervously with his wife's younger brother.
Ankhbayar relented, saying, "Alright, just bring my nieces over here," before ending the call.
Putting his phone away, Dolgoon let out a sigh of relief and hurried back home. Upon arriving at the mansion's garage, he was greeted by a shining yellow HR-V waiting for him. Observing the car already running smoothly, Dolgoon couldn't help but feel a wave of contentment as he made his way towards it. Upon opening the door, he found Bolormaa confidently seated in the driver's seat, with Davaa and Bilguun in the back.
It was a proud moment for Dolgoon, knowing that he had taught Bolormaa how to drive a car a year ago when she first expressed interest. Expressing his gratitude for her for warming up the car, Bolormaa simply nodded and moved to the passenger seat, as she was still too young to legally drive. Taking his place behind the wheel, Dolgoon set off towards the city, grateful for the trust and confidence in his loved ones.
