CHAPTER FIVE {Episode One} THE PROPHECY

In the palace, the emperor's ministers gathered to cause the problem Kingdom and how to overcome it. The Prime Minister who the brother of the emperor was listing the problems facing the state and demanding that the emperor find solution for it. Choi Tae-goo was the son of the late Kings first consort. It's so happened that the Queen couldn't give his majesty an heir to the throne so the officials advice the Queen to get a concubine for his majesty who later became pregnant and gave birth to the Choi Tae-goo. As faith would have it, the Queen also became pregnant a week after the concubine took in. During childbirth, the concubine gave birth to Choi Tae-gun a week before the queen gave birth to the emperor and as the tradition demand the son of the queen who is the empress of the kingdom was made the crown prince and later the king.

Choi Tae-goo has since nurse a deep hatred for his brother. He felt that his brother deprived him of the right to become the emperor and that he should be the King and not his younger brother. The emperor knows what was going on on his brother's head but didn't care, he even made him the highest official second to the King just to make him happy but he wouldn't be satisfied. "what about the epidemic that has taken over our Village,people are starting to panic, this disease is spreading even faster and people are demanding for a solution, what should we do your majesty?" "Prime Minister choi,I already sent some of the capitals best physician to take care of them in fact as we are speaking I received a letter yesterday that the disease has been cobbed and in no time it will be eliminated completely." the king answer patiently. "what?, the capital's physician? how could you send them, what if they also contact the disease and bring it to the capital? didn't you think of that?" the King was calm there was no point fighting with his brother because he knew he was still bitter about being deprived of the emperor position. "It's not possible for them to contact it since they take prevention method and even if they do,that's why I kept physicians to check everyone coming into the capital to be sure no one with the disease comes in not even the physicians that we sent to the capital until they are treated." At Choi Tae-goo got tired,so he decided to use another method,"so what about the strange girl?what are you going to do about her?" "Han-eul..? (the emperor calls Vida Han-eul cause he can't pronounce her name)nothing,she will keep serving Miss Dambi(the chief priestess) until the heaven decides to take her back or she decides to get married." The emperor said looking at his brother suspiciously, what was he planning now?. "What if she is lying? maybe she is not who she said she is. She could even be a spy sent by our enemies to monitor us." Choi Tae-goo kept bombarding the emperor with question which made the emperor to lose his cool. "Look, Prime minister Choi,I don't understand what you mean,the prophecy said that 'a woman will be sent and that she will come with thunder and rain destined to bring peace and havoc to our land' miss Dambi has assured us that as long as we treat her well,we will live in peace so unless you're rebelling against the gods I suggest you watch your mouth." With this Choi Tae-goo decided to cool off for a while but he was no where done until he get back what belongs to him.
