Episode 6: The Voice of Shadow Vex

With the first script for Titanverse - Episode 1: The Awakening drafted and printed, Elijah and Marcus were ready to take the next step: finding the voices for their characters.

Elijah walked into the casting room with a stack of printed scripts. James Holloway, the casting director, was waiting with his laptop and notebook.

James and Elijah Talk

Elijah: "Alright, James. The script’s ready. We need to start casting voice actors, especially for Shadow Vex. He’s the villain—we need someone with a voice that’s deep, commanding, and chilling."

James: "Got it. Let me pull up some profiles. I know a few actors who’ve done work for animated series before. We can start with them."

James opened his laptop, pulling up his list of contacts and demo reels.

James: "Okay, here’s one guy I think might be perfect. His name is Damian Cross. He’s been in the industry for years. Did the voice for a sci-fi villain in ‘Galactic Wars.’"

Elijah: "Interesting. What’s his background?"

Damian Cross: The Voice of Shadow Vex

Background: Damian started his career as a theater actor, specializing in Shakespearean plays. His commanding stage presence and deep voice caught the attention of animation studios, and he transitioned into voice acting.

He’s known for voicing villains and antiheroes in:

"Steel Faction" (General Titan)

Damian had a reputation for bringing depth and complexity to his villainous roles.

James reached out to Damian’s agent with an email:

Damian: "Thank you for considering me. I read the script, and I love the character. Let’s dive in."

Damian’s voice was deep and menacing, with a slight growl that added an eerie quality. He delivered the lines with perfect timing, his tone dripping with confidence and malice.

The Reaction

Elijah and James were blown away.

Elijah (muted): "Dude, he IS Shadow Vex."

James: "I told you he’d be perfect."

After the audition:

James: "Damian, that was incredible. We’d love to have you as Shadow Vex."

Damian: "Thank you. I’m honored to join the Titanverse team."
