Episode 4: A Dangerous Attraction

Episode 4: A Dangerous Attraction

Elias paced inside his chamber, his mind racing. Raziel’s words still echoed in his head.

"The gods abandoned you."

It was a lie. It had to be. The gods were merciful, righteous. They had guided his people for centuries. But then why had they chosen him as a sacrifice? Why had they used him to reinforce the seal without telling him the truth?

His fingers brushed against the glowing mark on his forehead. He hated it. Hated that it bound him to him.

The door creaked open.

Elias whirled around, already knowing who it was before he saw him.

Raziel stepped inside, his crimson eyes gleaming in the dim light. He was dressed more casually than before, his long silver hair slightly tousled, his black robes slightly loose, revealing part of his collarbone. The sight of it—of him—made something uncomfortable coil in Elias’s chest.

"Still sulking, little priest?" Raziel teased, stepping closer.

Elias clenched his jaw. "I'm not sulking. I'm thinking."

"Ah, dangerous for someone like you," Raziel mused. "What is it this time? Wondering if everything you've been taught was a lie?"

Elias glared at him. "Don't act like you know me."

Raziel smirked, closing the distance between them. "But I do know you, Elias." His voice dropped to something softer, more dangerous. "I can feel your thoughts. Your emotions. The bond between us is deepening, whether you like it or not."

Elias took a step back, but Raziel followed.

"I hate you," Elias hissed, his breath uneven.

Raziel hummed in amusement. "Is that so?"

He lifted a hand, and Elias barely had time to react before cool fingers brushed against his cheek. The touch sent an unexpected jolt through Elias’s body. He froze, his heartbeat erratic.

"Then why do you tremble?" Raziel whispered, his lips inches from Elias’s ear.

Elias shivered, but it wasn’t from fear. It was something else—something unfamiliar and dangerous. "Because I despise you," he bit out, though even he wasn’t convinced by his own words.

Raziel chuckled, his breath warm against Elias’s skin. "Liar."

Elias tried to push him away, but Raziel caught his wrist, his grip firm yet gentle. His fingers trailed down Elias’s arm, sending sparks of sensation through him.

"I could make you mine," Raziel murmured. "Completely. If I wanted to, you wouldn't even resist."

Elias swallowed hard. "You wouldn't dare."

Raziel tilted his head, studying him. Then, to Elias’s surprise, the demon god released him.

"I don’t have to," Raziel said, smirking. "Because one day, you will come to me willingly."

Elias’s breath caught, his body betraying him with how warm he suddenly felt. He hated this. Hated how Raziel unsettled him.

"Keep dreaming," Elias snapped, turning away.

Raziel laughed, a deep, velvety sound. "Oh, I will, little priest. And when you finally realize what you truly desire..." His fingers ghosted over Elias’s shoulder as he passed.

"...I will be waiting."

The door closed behind him, leaving Elias alone with the undeniable truth—

The most dangerous thing about Raziel wasn’t his power.

It was the way he made Elias feel.
