~ In the morning ~

(The house is silent. Jungkook wakes up with a dull ache in his chest The last night’s fight replaying in his mind like a broken record. He drags himself out of bed & running a hand through his messy hair. When he steps into the hallway his eyes instinctively move toward Taehyung’s door closed, just like always)

(He doesn’t knock He doesn’t call out Instead he walks away just like always )

(Taehyung sits at the dining table, eating alone His movements are slow & lifeless. The chair across from him which the one Jungkook used to sit in on rare occasions now remains empty. A few minutes later, Jungkook walks in dressed for work. Taehyung tenses but keeps his gaze on his plate Jungkook stops for a second but then he silently picks up a cup of coffee and leaves without a word)

(No insults, No mocking, No cold remarks )

(Hurt) 💔

(And for some reason, it makes Taehyung's chest hurt even more.)

~ Night Time ~

( Since their wedding, Jungkook and Taehyung have never shared a room. Jungkook’s room is down the hall their rooms are separated by a distance that neither of them dares to cross. Taehyung stands outside his own room staring at the door across from him. He wonders if Jungkook is inside & if he’s thinking about last night at all)

( presses a hand against his chest breathing shakily. His heart still aches, but he doesn’t cry Not anymore! )

(A house that feels like a prison. A marriage that feels like a punishment. Two people living under the same roof but never truly together)

~ At the end of the day ~
