Don’t mind Sister don’t care, kidding, she’s Paula. Cold but sensible, she’ll come around. Don’t think that this community is weird but we are just being realistic after seeing the worst things in life could happen for the last what?, ten years. And it’s not pretty. Mind you, people here are nice but they can be a bit sexual and they know that we sisters are servants of God so they always think twice before doing something foolish or hasty. Well, it’s the same for other women or girls too even those who haven’t join us. They too maybe get harassed and be subjects of criticism, bullying and hate.  So, bear in mind that you’re not in the States and or in Asia anymore. Think of it like you’re in Africa or Japan where Yakuza’s or Mafia’s are behind all the drugs, sex slavery and all in one go. Hehe!, Sister Jona summarized what iw as about to ask her to have a heads up on this town and the community that I am serving now. Aha! There’s the answer to my question. Thanks Sister!, I said after she told me about the bad stuff which made me more anxious to do everything I can to help them and be a good sister to the people and to my co-sisters in the community. Moreover to be good for Sister Paula, who seems to doubt my intentions on befriending her.

Hi, I’m Sister Teresa and this is Sister Carla. That is Sister Prima and Sister Nora. Sister Mela and Sister Candida. We are like ten before but now since the sisters we grew up with were posted to work with the military for medical purposes in Europe. We were left with the sisters who check and visit families in the nearby areas and towns here in Brazil. There have been riots happening due to civil, political and religious issues and the gay communities who have been fighting for their rights here and in the world. But all is good, they know about us and our work so don’t worry about them and your motives coming here. I’m sure it’s for the best and the sisters at St. Claire’s  won’t send you here if you’re not smart and good for the community, Sister Teresa added and showed, led me to my room.

Sister Paula stood next to my room. Ah..so the new girl will be sleeping next to mine. That’s swell, I can….., Sister Paula said and wanted to pull my hair but I caught her hand and pushed her aside with force. Aha…a sister who knows how to fight! That’s even better now that you’re here to teach the kids on self-defense and catechism, maybe!.

What’s got into you, Paula?, shut up and go pray a bit it might help you with your negativity and anxiety!, Sister Teresa added, opening my door and turning on the lights. The room is nice and smelled nice. What’s her problem?, I thought looking at this Sister Paula. Ouch!, haha!, another sister said and tried to pull her neck by her arm and they both wrestled each other.

Girl huh!, I overheard them saying. I’m not a girl anymore I am barely 36, just looking like a teen ager maybe because I smiled a lot and didn’t worry much back at my old community. Yet I think that would change a lot now. Now that I will be in this community….ahhhhh…..God why have you forsaken me???????

Paula Black, an American girl who lived in the western country where she grew horses and fed cows. She is a tomboy and had been homeless for a while. She was adopted by a rich couple in Italy, graduated college and worked as an accountant for a huge company in France. But chose to be a sister because she got bullied all the time and that she wanted to serve God and others through an organization especially in poor countries, mostly third worlds. So here she is and now with our organization. Her family are our primary benefactors for St. Clare organizations. And we get all our supplies and aid from her family and other donors all through- out the world.
