Episode 5 – "Storm Surge"

Episode 5 – "Storm Surge"

Opening Scene – Lily’s Baby Superpower Revealed

The Stormson family is in the living room when suddenly, Lily, the youngest member of the family, lets out a giggle—and in an instant, every object in the room starts floating!

Stacy (eyes widening): "Uh… is it just me, or did the entire living room just turn into zero gravity?"

Peter (grinning): "Awesome. Baby’s got skills."

Phoebe (dodging a floating lamp): "Not awesome! She’s out of control!"

Eric (floating mid-air, holding onto the ceiling fan): "Linda! Help!"

Linda rushes forward and picks up Lily, gently rocking her. The floating objects start to slowly fall back down.

Linda (smiling): "Looks like our little girl just unlocked her baby power."

Each Sibling Reveals Their Baby Power

As the family regroups, they start talking about how each of them had their own baby powers before developing their real abilities.

Peter (leaning back smugly): "Man, I remember when I had my baby power. I could make things stick to my hands. Mom was so mad when I grabbed her hairbrush, and it never came off."

Phoebe (laughing): "Oh please, mine was way worse. I used to glow like a nightlight whenever I got excited."

Stacy: "I had the ability to make things cold. Once, I touched Dad’s coffee mug, and it turned into an ice block."

Zane (grinning): "Pfft, all of those are boring. My baby power was jumping super high! I once bounced off the couch and hit the ceiling fan."

Eric (groaning): "Yep. And I still have the dent in the ceiling to prove it."

They all laugh, realizing that Lily is now going through what they all did as babies.

Taking Care of Lily & Getting Her New Clothes

Since Lily is starting to go through her "growth perk" phase, Linda decides she needs new clothes.

Linda: "Alright, we need to go shopping. She’s outgrowing her baby stuff fast."

Phoebe (holding up a tiny onesie that looks like it shrank overnight): "Yeah, no kidding. This was fine yesterday!"

The family heads to the store, where Lily accidentally activates her power and makes a row of shopping carts float into the air.

Zane (laughing): "She’s got style! Shopping in zero gravity."

Linda quickly calms Lily down, but she knows they need professional help to figure out what’s going on.

Calling the Doctor from Their Hometown

Later that day, Linda picks up the phone and calls Dr. Henry Voltz, the doctor from their super-powered hometown, Thunderhaven.

Linda (on the phone): "Dr. Voltz, we need you to come check on Lily. She’s going through her growth perk."

But Dr. Voltz starts making excuses.

Dr. Voltz (on the phone): "Oh, well, you see, I would, but my schedule is very full. Also, my car has a flat tire, and, uh… my cat is sick."

Linda (narrowing her eyes): "You don’t even have a cat."

Dr. Voltz (nervously): "Right, well, I—"

Linda (frustrated): "Enough excuses!"

In her anger, she accidentally uses her powers and sends a small lightning bolt straight at Eric, who yelps as his hair stands on end from the shock.

Eric (holding his head): "Okay, OW! What was that for?!"

Linda: "Not now, Eric!"

The moment she loses her patience, Dr. Voltz immediately changes his mind.

Dr. Voltz (quickly): "You know what? I just cleared my schedule! Be there in five minutes!"

Dr. Voltz Arrives & Examines Lily

A few minutes later, Dr. Voltz arrives and begins scanning Lily with a high-tech device. Lily starts to cry, scared of the scanner, but Peter picks her up and holds her gently.

Peter (softly): "It’s okay, little storm. I got you."

Lily calms down enough for the doctor to complete the scan.

Dr. Voltz (reading the results): "Ah-ha! As I suspected—Lily has officially outgrown her baby powers."

Zane (confused): "Wait, so does that mean she’s broken?"

Dr. Voltz (shaking his head): "No, no! It just means she’s moving on to her real powers. Over the next week, she’ll start manifesting her true abilities."

Phoebe: "And what kind of powers are we talking about here?"

Dr. Voltz (handing them a list): "I’ve narrowed it down to a few possibilities. By the end of the week, she’ll definitely have at least two of these powers."

The family looks at the list, and two abilities stand out:

Teleportation

Control over magnetic materials

Stacy (raising an eyebrow): "So, she could either disappear whenever she wants… or become a baby magneto?"

Peter (smirking): "Either way, we’re in for a wild ride."

As the family prepares for the chaos of Lily’s new powers, the screen fades to black with one last giggle from Lily—and suddenly, the TV remote flies across the room and sticks to the fridge.

To be continued…
