Chapter 4

“Hmm..”

I looked at the clock in front of me, it was hanging on the wall. It was a big clock and it was yellow, I’m sure it’s gold.

“I woke up early today, huh?” I asked myself. I really woke up early because it was only 7 am on the clock.

So, I got up, but before anything else, I tidied and made my bed, then went to the bathroom to take a shower..

The questions in my mind still lingered, unanswered. Y-yesterday? It was weird, it’s only been two days here and I’ve already noticed something weird. Hays.. maybe I shouldn’t think about it? Because my head just hurts thinking about what it was!

I just didn’t think about it anymore and got dressed and combed my hair.. I was just wearing shorts and a sleeveless top because I was just at home.. so I’m more comfortable when I’m wearing this.

So, I went downstairs and went to the dining room to have breakfast. And when I got there, no one was there yet. So, I went straight to the refrigerator, and luckily, I saw fresh milk and sliced bread. I’ll just eat this, I’ll just cook an egg for my sliced bread.

After I cooked it, I ate.. maybe Auntie wasn’t awake yet. Or maybe she bought something from the market, because the stock in the refrigerator was running out.

I started eating and hmm.. delicious, just the right amount of salt and spices.. not salty, just right.. I was so hungry, I was planning to eat again tonight, but I got scared because Daddy Xavier might wake up and suddenly get suspicious and wonder if I was the one who peeked, but I was the one who peeked.. hehe.

FAST FORWARD

After I ate, like I always do, I cleaned up and washed my dishes.

After that, I decided to go to the garden because I had nothing to do and everyone in the house was still asleep. And I really wanted to go and water the beautiful plants..

So, I went to the back of the mansion where the garden is.

When I got there, I got a water container and then slowly walked towards the garden..

“This is so heavy.” I complained and groaned at the weight. I slowly watered the plants with my hands.. the plants are really beautiful, I never get tired of looking at them..

I just watered them and then got more water because the water I got was already gone.

While I was carrying the heavy water, I..

“AHHH---” I just screamed when I tripped.. “O-ouch.” I groaned, my hand hurt, luckily I didn’t trip on rocks, it was just small plants growing..

“Hay, this water is such a waste!” I said angrily to myself. Hayst, oh well, the water I was carrying was gone.

So, I walked back to the mansion, I’ll just go back inside to change. Hayss, it’s so annoying!

I was fixing my clothes as I was going inside when---

“Ouch!” I bumped into something hard.

And when I looked up, I saw Daddy Xavier looking at me, so I moved a little and looked back at him.

“S-sorry, D-daddy..” I apologized, but he suddenly snubbed me. ‘What did I do again? Why is he always grumpy?’ I asked myself in confusion.

“Am I that old for you? A-and d-don’t you ever wear shorts and sleeveless again. It’s unapprop---” He stopped when I touched the lump on his neck. I couldn’t control myself. I’ve been noticing the lump on his neck, going up and down while he was talking.

“Why do you have a lump on your neck?” I asked while holding it.

I saw on his face that he was weak while the lump on his neck was going up and down.

His mouth opened, while his eyes were looking at me.

“Does it hurt, Daddy?” I asked with concern. Because maybe it was a rock that got stuck in his neck, it was so big..

I was holding it while still looking at him.

“S-stop it.” He weakly asked me.

But I didn’t hear him, so I continued holding the lump on his neck.

But.. he suddenly grabbed my hand aggressively, and his finger dug in, making me yelp. “Ouch!”

“I said stop!” His voice suddenly got louder, making me scared.

And my hand was injured. Because of his finger, his nails were sharp.. and he dug them into my arm when he grabbed it. Because of the pain, I grabbed my arm. My right arm became swollen, like a rotten vegetable. He is really so strong.

“D-did I make him uncomfortable?” I asked myself while watching him walk away. Maybe I did. Because he seemed to be in pain while I was doing that. Next time, I’ll avoid touching the lump on his neck. I’m different, if I’m curious about something, I won’t be satisfied until I know what it is. I won’t be quiet. This is me, I won’t change..

It’s my fault, because I touched it without his permission. I’ve lost my mind! I’m so worried about him, even though he isn’t.

So, I had no choice but to leave, who knows what else he might do. I wanted to say sorry, but I’m scared.. maybe I’ll say sorry to him if I’m strong enough, I’m fragile. I’m so soft, I get hurt easily.. I hate being yelled at.. I hate myself too.. for being fragile.

“O-ouch.” I groaned when I accidentally pressed the wound on my arm. It was slightly bleeding, and even though it was just a small wound, it stung.

“Hayst, I’d rather just take a shower, and then have Auntie treat this wound..”
