CHAPTER:-5

Dante sat in his cozy, expensive living room, surrounded by four other men. They were there to discuss Elena, the "hot new topic" that consumed their thoughts. The room, decorated with expensive furniture and soft lighting, was a stark contrast to the dark nature of their conversation.

One of the four, Xavier, leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with a disturbing curiosity. "When will we get to torture that bitch?" he asked, his voice laced with anticipation. "We also want to see her suffering."

Dante, his expression calm and composed, replied, "Be a little patient. The enjoyment will come soon."

"I am patiently waiting for that day," David added, nodding in agreement. The other two men hummed in approval, but one of them, Noah, remained silent, his gaze fixed on the floor.

Dante, noticing Noah's unusual demeanor, asked, "What happened, Noah? You look off."

Noah gave him a fake smile, trying to hide his true feelings. "Oh, it's nothing like that, Dante."

"Noah," Dante said, his voice gentle but firm, "you know I can read your eyes. I am very much sure you are sad about something. You know you can share it with us." He spoke with a loving tone, trying to draw Noah out.

Noah nervously scratched his neck. "It's just that... I don't feel it's right."

"I don't understand," Dante said, his brow furrowed in confusion. "What is not right?" The others looked at them, their attention focused on the conversation.

"Dante, I think it's wrong to take revenge on her so brutally," Noah said, his voice barely a whisper, his eyes fixed on the well-maintained floor. He avoided Dante’s gaze, afraid of what he might see.

Oliver, the oldest of the group, erupted in anger. "Noah, what are you saying? You know how she killed our brother Marco! How she took his life! And after knowing all this, you're saying this?" His voice was filled with rage and disbelief.

A tense silence fell over the room, the only sound the soft ticking of a grandfather clock in the corner. Dante, who had been quiet since Noah's confession, finally spoke.

"It's alright to feel like this, Noah," he said, his voice calm and reassuring. "But believe me, when you meet her, the kindness you have for her will vanish."

Noah, still troubled, simply nodded in agreement, but his eyes betrayed his unease. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something was deeply wrong.

Oliver, still angry, added, "Noah, you're being too soft. She deserves everything she gets. She destroyed Marco. She needs to pay."

Xavier, always eager for violence, chimed in, "Yeah, Noah. We're not doing anything wrong. She killed Marco. It's just fair."

David, agreeing with the others, said, "We're just giving her what she deserves. If she hadn't killed Marco, we wouldn't be doing this."

Noah, feeling pressured, tried to explain his feelings. "I understand that she hurt Marco. But I don't think we should torture her like this. It's too cruel."

He paused, looking at Dante. "Dante, I know you loved Marco. We all did. But this... this is too much. Can't we just give her to the police?"

Dante, his face calm, replied, "Noah, you don't understand. The police won't give her the punishment she deserves. She took Marco's life. She needs to suffer like he did."

He looked at Noah, his eyes filled with a cold determination. "This isn't just about revenge. It's about justice. She needs to understand what she did. She needs to feel the same pain Marco felt."

Noah, feeling defeated, sighed. "I just... I just don't like seeing someone suffer like this."

Dante put a hand on Noah's shoulder. "I know, Noah. You're a good person. But sometimes, good people have to do bad things. It's the only way to make things right."

He looked at the others. "We're doing this for Marco. We won't let his death go unpunished."

The others nodded, their faces grim. They were all determined to make Elena pay for what she had done.

The discussion ended, leaving Noah feeling uneasy. He still felt that what they were doing was wrong, but he couldn't change their minds. He knew that Dante was determined to make Elena suffer, and he couldn't stop him.
