Episode 4

Narrator's Pov:-

Parking the car,he got out and opened the door for Lia.

Lia felt elated with his little gesture,she was smiling without knowing.She got out of the car and he shut the door close.

"I wonder why there's no light in this street ..."mumbled Lia in an audible way. Evan heard her and grabbed her hand.

Lia's heart was throbbing so quickly that she felt it would burst out.

"Are you okay?"he asked politely.

"yeah I'm "

He turned his flashlight on and they started walking towards their building.

"I think...the power's not there"he explained.

"hmm"

They walked towards the building and suddenly the lights lit up.

"Mommmmmmmmm..........."screamed Lia and she grabbed Evan tightly.

They both were surrounded by few dogs which frightened Lia.

"Easy...easy...."Evan patted her back...."Lia I knew that you were afraid of dogs but till now....I thought your fear of dogs faded as you grew up..."he added.

"Don't talk ..................Help me out.....what if they will bite us....?"

"okay..."

He shooed the dogs away easily as it was just a piece of cake and they climbed upstairs inside their building.

"Can't we take the elevator?"Lia questioned.

"I feel like walking....."

"uh okay..."

Soon they were outside Evan's home.Evan rang his doorbell while he pulled his shoes out.All those seconds, Lia casually peeked at Evan without letting him know.

But then he caught her looking at him.He raised his eyebrows.... questioning from his eyes.

"hmm?''Lia showed as if she was not aware of her actions.

Soon Evan's mother opened the door.

"Good evening aunty...."greeted Lia.

"Good evening Lia...long time no see....come,..come ...come inside "

Evan and Lia got inside.

"How was the dinner?"Evan's mother inquired.

"n..nice...we had a good chat and ..."Lia answered while stumbling upon her words.

"and we ate lots of food and laughed recalling our childhood days..."Evan added ,making it up for Lia.

"Lia ,what's in your hand ....?''she asked.

"uh..the leftovers...she wanted to have it so ..."Evan replied.

"okay...You both can sit here and have a chat while I'm coming with some snacks."said Evan's mother.

Lia nodded but then Evan interrupted,"Uh mom we would be heading inside our room for she's here to catch some books for her exams."

"okay then...you kids can go inside...I'll bring the snacks there...."

"Auntie...no need for that"interrupted Lia,"I will quickly head home after having the books so...just a glass of water will do ..''

"Hmm okay..as your wish..."and she headed inside the kitchen. Evan and Lia quickly paced inside the room and Evan closed the door shut.

"Huh!"he gasped,"I was so nervous...."he mumbled.

While Lia had her whole mind upside down.

"Tf...! My mind is screwed up....what if aunt caught us both..."she mumbled.

"Did you say anything?''asked Evan.

"Nuh..nope"

"okay..."He walked towards the cupboard and pulled out the books and question paper needed by Lia and he handed them to her.

"Thanks..."she gave him a light smile.

Meanwhile Her aunty aka Evan's mother had brought them a glass of water which was untouched.

"you're welcome... anytime"he smiled.

"okay then I must go now..."

"hmm ...shall I accompany you up to your home?''

"No...it's okay .."

Saying it,Lia moved a step ahead but she had kept her foot on the doormat which made her slip.

"Ouch!"she exclaimed and fell unintentionally over Evan...
