Episode 4: Study Group Invitation

Jimin was having a good day.(⁠✷⁠‿⁠✷⁠)

His art project was coming along well, his coffee tasted perfect, and for once, no one had mentioned the ridiculous rumors about him and Yoongi. Maybe—just maybe—people had finally moved on.

He was happily sketching in his notebook when a familiar voice startled him.

“Jimin-ah!”

Jimin jumped, almost knocking over his pencil case. He turned to see Namjoon, standing there with a too-innocent smile.

“Hyung,” Jimin sighed, hand on his chest. “You scared me.”

Namjoon ignored his complaint and sat down across from him. “Join our study group today.”

Jimin blinked. “Study group?”

Namjoon nodded. “Yeah. Me, Hobi, Jin, Taehyung… and Yoongi.”

Jimin froze. “Wait. Yoongi?”

Namjoon’s smirk widened. “Yep.”

Jimin narrowed his eyes. “This is a trap, isn’t it?”

Namjoon patted his shoulder. “Think of it as an opportunity.”

Jimin sighed. “Opportunity for what?”

Namjoon leaned closer. “To mess with Yoongi.”

Jimin gasped dramatically. “You’re using me to annoy him?”

Namjoon grinned. “Yes. So, see you there!”

Before Jimin could argue, Namjoon walked away, leaving him wondering how his life had come to this.

That evening, Jimin arrived at the library study room, mentally preparing himself for what was about to happen.

And, as expected, Min Yoongi was already there, sitting at the table, arms crossed, a cup of black coffee in front of him. He looked bored, tired, and mildly annoyed—basically, his usual expression.

Their eyes met.

Jimin grinned.

Yoongi sighed.

“Well, well, well,” Jimin said, pulling out his books. “Didn’t expect to see you here, kitty.”

Yoongi blinked slowly. “I regret coming already.”

Jimin giggled, sitting next to him. “Don’t be like that, grumpy cat. This is going to be fun.”

Yoongi took a long sip of coffee, pretending Jimin didn’t exist.

Just then, Taehyung slid into the seat beside Jimin, whispering excitedly.

“I heard about the rumors! So…” Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows. “Are you and Yoongi secretly dating?”

Yoongi, mid-sip, choked on his coffee.

Jimin gasped dramatically. “Taehyung! We agreed to keep it a secret!”

Yoongi glared at Jimin, coughing. “We what?!”

Taehyung clapped his hands. “Oh no. Are you two forbidden lovers?”

Namjoon, sitting across from them, laughed. “This is going exactly how I hoped it would.”

Jin, flipping through his textbook, sighed. “Can we actually study? Or are we just here to watch this romance unfold?”

Yoongi groaned loudly, rubbing his temples. “I’m surrounded by idiots.”

Jimin smiled sweetly. “But we’re your idiots, kitty.”

Yoongi closed his eyes and sighed. “I need stronger coffee.”

The study session finally started, but it didn’t take long for chaos to return.

“Okay,” Namjoon said, pushing up his glasses. “Let’s split into pairs. Yoongi and Jimin, you two work together on this part.”

Jimin beamed. “Oh, lucky me!”

Yoongi stared blankly. “Unlucky me.”

Jimin nudged him. “You love it, admit it.”

Yoongi ignored him and focused on the textbook in front of him. “Let’s just finish this quickly.”

Jimin leaned over, pretending to read but instead whispering, “Yoongi… I’m hungry.”

Yoongi didn’t look up. “Then go eat.”

Jimin pouted. “But I want you to come with me.”

Yoongi sighed, finally looking at him. “Why would I do that?”

Jimin batted his eyelashes. “Because you care about me.”

Yoongi stared at him for a long moment. “I really don’t.”

Jimin gasped, clutching his chest. “Wow. That hurt, kitty. That really hurt.”,(⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠)

Yoongi shook his head and went back to reading. “I regret meeting you.”

Jimin leaned in closer. “Too late. You’re stuck with me now.”

Across the table, Taehyung and Hobi were watching with amusement.

“I give them two weeks before they start dating,” Taehyung whispered.

Hobi chuckled. “I give them one.”

Yoongi glanced up. “I can hear you.”

Hobi shrugged. “Good. Just making sure you know.”

Jimin giggled, resting his chin on his hand. “Don’t worry, kitty. One day, you’ll admit your love for me.”ෆ⁠╹⁠ ⁠.̮⁠ ⁠╹⁠ෆ

Yoongi closed his book and stood up. “I’m leaving.”

Jimin grabbed his wrist. “Nooo, kitty, don’t go!”

Yoongi looked at the ceiling, silently asking for patience.

Namjoon clapped his hands. “Okay, okay. Let’s actually study now.”

Jin sighed. “Finally.”

Yoongi sat back down, still looking annoyed, but Jimin could see the tiny smile he was trying to hide.(⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴗ⁠ꈍ⁠)

And for some reason, that made Jimin happier than anything.
