Electric Shadows (Yoonmin)
Love Blooms in Campus – Introduction
The campus of Haneul Arts University was always buzzing with life—students rushing between classes, laughter echoing through the courtyards, and the scent of freshly brewed coffee wafting from the campus café. Among the students were two individuals who seemed to live in completely different worlds: Min Yoongi, a reserved yet brilliant music composition major, and Park Jimin, a passionate and expressive fine arts student.
Yoongi was known for his cold exterior, always seen with his headphones on, drowning in melodies only he could hear. He rarely spoke unless necessary and preferred the solitude of the music room over social gatherings. Jimin, on the other hand, was warmth personified—his artistic soul was reflected in every brushstroke, and his laughter had a way of drawing people in.
Their paths had never crossed, and perhaps they never would have, until one accidental spill changed everything.
It all began on a crisp autumn morning when fate—or rather, an unfortunate cup of coffee—forced them together.
And so, an unexpected love story began to bloom on campus…

Let's start ( ◜‿◝ )♡
The morning air was crisp, the golden leaves of autumn swirling gently across the stone pathways of Haneul Arts University. Students bustled about, some clutching their books while others sipped on their morning coffee, trying to shake off their lingering drowsiness. Among them was Park Jimin, an art student known for his expressive paintings and warm personality.
Jimin walked towards the campus café, a leather sketchbook tucked securely under his arm. His mind was occupied, buzzing with new ideas for an upcoming project. His professor had given them an open-ended assignment—paint something that moves you—and Jimin had been struggling to find the perfect subject.
"Maybe I should draw something about autumn," he murmured to himself as he approached the café door. "Or maybe—"
Before he could complete his thought, his world tilted.
A sharp gasp escaped him as something hot and sticky splashed across his chest and hands.
Jimin stumbled backward, blinking in shock. His sketchbook tumbled to the ground, its pages now stained with the rich, brown liquid of what smelled like—coffee.
“Oh, shit,” a low voice muttered.
Jimin barely had time to register what had happened before his gaze snapped up to meet a pair of deep, dark eyes. Standing before him was a young man with messy black hair, a slight scowl on his face as he examined the damage.
Min Yoongi.
Jimin recognized him instantly. Everyone on campus knew Min Yoongi. A third-year music composition major, he was known for his genius-level talent, blunt personality, and tendency to avoid unnecessary social interactions. He was often seen in the music hall or the library, always with his headphones on, lost in his own world.
And now, that same Min Yoongi had just spilled coffee all over him.
Jimin’s brain finally caught up to the situation. He looked down at himself—his cream-colored sweater now had a large, ugly brown stain across the front. His hands, once clean and ready to sketch, were now sticky with coffee. And worse—his sketchbook.
Jimin hurriedly bent down, flipping through the pages. Some were completely ruined, the coffee having bled into the charcoal lines he had spent hours perfecting. He felt a sting in his chest—this sketchbook held weeks of ideas, practice pieces, and unfinished artworks.
Yoongi sighed and rubbed his temple. “I wasn’t looking,” he admitted, his voice calm but indifferent.
Jimin exhaled sharply, biting his lip to hold back his frustration. “Yeah, I noticed,” he said, voice tight. He looked up at Yoongi, searching for some sort of apology, but the older student simply ran a hand through his messy hair, clearly more annoyed than guilty.
A tense silence stretched between them, the sounds of campus life moving around them like white noise.
Then, with an exasperated sigh, Yoongi reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a pack of tissues. “Here,” he muttered, shoving it toward Jimin.
Jimin stared at the tissues. “Really?” he asked incredulously. “You just ruined my sketches, and all you have to offer is this?”
Yoongi raised a brow. “What else do you want? A new sweater? A whole new sketchbook?” His tone wasn’t mocking, but it wasn’t exactly apologetic either.
Jimin clenched his jaw, his usual patience wearing thin. “An apology would be nice,” he said firmly.
Yoongi blinked. He seemed genuinely surprised by the request, as if the concept of apologizing for something like this had never occurred to him. After a pause, he let out a low sigh and nodded.
“Fine. I’m sorry,” he said, voice even. “Didn’t mean to spill coffee on you.”
Jimin studied him for a moment, trying to decide if the apology was sincere. It wasn’t exactly the most heartfelt, but it was something.
Still, Jimin wasn’t one to hold grudges. He huffed out a breath, taking the tissues and dabbing at his sweater. It was useless—the stain was too big and too deep. He grimaced. “Well, there goes my favorite sweater.”
Yoongi glanced at it, then at the ruined sketchbook in Jimin’s hands. He shifted on his feet, looking almost uncomfortable. Then, much to Jimin’s surprise, he said, “I’ll buy you another coffee.”
Jimin blinked. “What?”
“You’re obviously here for coffee. Let me buy you another one,” Yoongi said, nodding toward the café door. His tone was casual, but there was something in his expression—an awkward attempt at making amends.
Jimin hesitated. He hadn’t planned to spend any more time with Yoongi, but… maybe this was his way of apologizing properly. And, well, free coffee was free coffee.
After a moment, he sighed and gave a small nod. “Fine,” he said. “But I’m getting the most expensive one on the menu.”
Yoongi’s lips twitched, as if holding back a smirk. “Knock yourself out,” he muttered, pushing open the café door and stepping inside.
Jimin followed, still half-annoyed, half-intrigued by the man who had just crashed into his morning.
As they walked in, Jimin had no idea that this unexpected encounter would change everything.
