Chapter 1: Survive

Before we start please keep in mind that it's my first time writing a story and yes I'm an amateur but I would appreciate it if you could give me some advice and some of the mistakes that I could correct especially my grammars. okay so that's all and I hope you enjoy reading.

One day

there was a man named Kyra who is looking for an answer if he really lived the life he wanted or was he able to do the right thing for himself in his final moment.

And this was the thoughts that came out of his mind while slowly dying and sitting on the road alone.

Is this really how I will die?....

well, I deserved it, after all those shits that I've done..... well at least I was able to achieve my dreams and had a wonderful yet a shitty life. But every choices and penny of mine was a quarter of taking other people's lives so I could gain fame and wealth... even though they begged for mercy and no matter how loud they threatened to kill me, I didn't bother looking just so I could continue and do what I needed to do.... but one question that still remains that I can't answer for myself.... did I did the right thing?..... well that doesn't matter now, what matters is I have myself........

Silence.......

when Kyra opened his eyes once again.... he was speechless and in complete shock. Asking himself why is he here and how did he get here. He tried to check his injuries that he got before and he was completely speechless and utterly confused even more because all of his injuries were gone.

While looking with an utterly confused face Kyra looked around and what he saw around are only darkness and the door in front of him that has a written number one on top of it while glowing red colors.

Kyra was super confused and asked himself where am I?.... I died because of an accident so why am I here? he tried to smack his face until his cheeks wiggled just to make sure if he was dreaming.... the pain felt his entire face until his cheeks turned to red that made him regret even doing that to himself. Kyra rubbed his cheeks softly to relieve it because of the pain and after that, he checked the door in front of him because it's the only thing that he can see and could go to.

Kyra walked towards the door and when he got closer he can hear people screaming crying in agony as if they were being tortured to death. the atmosphere of the door was giving more of a chilling and a sinister vibe while getting closer that even made Kyra gulp his saliva until he finally reached the door. He then slowly opened the door and what he saw was something so unbearable to watch. People were being tortured and the women are being raped and people are killing each other, Kyra also saw creatures like huge ants and other insects or monsters that his eyes didn't expect. The sight was really unbearable to watch that he needed to look away from that even made him accidentally say what the heck!!! by the view because it was so cruel if normal people saw this they would freak out and lose their mind. Kyra was even more shocked by this but he tried to calm down as best as he could because he was used to it, but when he was about to close the door he was suddenly blown away from the door and got sent from the massacre that is happening. He tried to reach out of the door to hold onto but it was so sudden that he didn't get to react as fast as possible to reach out for it. While he was being blown away he hit another man and was also blown away with him too. Blood was all over the place Kyra was in utter shock and fear went throughout his spine that he couldn't move for a second, but he can't do anything if he will be just scared so he stands up again while being calm and trembling out of fear and confusion. He took a deep breath then when he was about to exhale suddenly a man is charging towards him with a knife pointing at him while screaming

DIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!

Kyra freaked out and said what the hell???? (this was the man who got blown away with Kyra cuz he hit him that's why he is also blown away) The man was getting closer to him if he just stands there then he will surely get stabbed by that knife. Kyra looked around on the ground if he can see a weapon but he only saw a broken bone that has a trim edge on it, he took it quickly, and when the man got so close to him he kicked the man's stomach and got blown away a little but Kyra was stabbed by the knife on his left leg. Kyra endured the pain while he stabbed the broken bone with a trim edge on the shoulder of the man, the man screamed in pain too the bone that is stabbed to him went so deep that it can't be taken off to his shoulder that made him collapse on the floor. But then the man struggled to stand up again for a second even though the pain was unbearable then he suddenly took a rock and charged towards Kyra who was lying on the floor screaming in pain because of how hurt the stab was. Kyra realized that this man was really trying to kill him so he took the knife out of his leg while enduring the pain then Kyra struggled to stand up even though the pain was unbearable, he didn't care anymore because the man is really trying to kill him.

Kyra approached the man while running in a weird way. When he approached the man, the man tried to smash Kyra's head with a rock but Kyra blocked it with his hand. The pain was unbearable but he didn't care anymore because he needs to kill this man so that he can survive and when he blocked the attack Kyra stabbed the man's head while falling on the floor. The man collapsed on the floor and Kyra was in so much pain while lying on the floor, then again another man was trying to kill him again Kyra was heavily breathing and starting to lose his cool. He was freaking out because another man was approaching him again but another man appeared on the man's back and got stabbed by an ax on the head. The man was sliced to 2. Kyra was speechless by what he saw that his eyes widened out of fear and trembled out of shock because another man popped out and it's stronger this time, Kyra struggled to look around to escape but he was surrounded by bloody rocks and nowhere to escape.

but Kyra noticed that the man who has a huge body and it looks like a demon is heavily breathing and severely injured. Kyra felt that he has a chance killing this one fellow that made him forget the pain he was feeling earlier, a hope shined to Kyra's eyes he tried to stand up again so he can prepare to kill that man who is approaching him even though there is a high chance that he is going to get killed by it, while the man was approaching his eyes and face were so terrifying that it made Kyra scared. But Kyra didn't care and stopped being a coward. If he is going to kill me why does it matter if I try to kill him? Kyra muttered to himself.

Kyra smirked then said

I'm a little bit calm now so I can do better.

Kyra is already used to this kind of events where his life is in the line but he was not expecting this to happen earlier because it just suddenly happened that there is a man who is trying to kill him while seeing this place in utter shock and confusion, then after that, you see full of blood, massacre and more cruel things that are happening, what do you expect he is a civilized man, of course, he will panic but he still kept his posture and calmed down because panicking will not do anything. Even a baby is being smashed apart Kyra puked a little because so much organ brains and arms are all over the place but he stopped puking and tried to think what to do with this badly injured demon looking man. Because if he continues to puke then the demon looking man will kill him in no time. And when he looked at the corpse of the man who he killed earlier something came out on the corpse and floated. It looked like an object came out on the man's body an object that looked like a cube with a red button on top. Kyra was curious about the object that just came out of the dead body and thought for a brief moment then took the object that is floating in case it has some use.

Kyra looked at the badly injured demon again thinking what to do and how can he kill that demon.

He gripped the knife tightly and charged towards the badly injured demon who was approaching him. The badly injured demon charged at Kyra then threw the ax towards him but Kyra barely dodged it and when he got closer to the demon, the demon punched Kyra but when the demon's hand got to approach Kyra the demon's finger was sliced apart but the demon didn't even flinch nor cared about it so he swung his another left arm to smash Kyra, and Kyra was smashed by it and got blown away to the place where he came from before. he barely managed to block that attack and even the knife was smashed apart when he blocked it. If he didn't react on time he is surely dead by now but even though he blocked it his right hand was already broken, his bone cracked so loud that he screamed in pain while his saliva dripped out of his mouth...

Kyra barely can't move because of the pain but he endured it and looked at the badly injured demon again and this time it collapsed a little because it can't bear the pain anymore it got.

Kyra struggled to stand up again while trembling and grinding his teeth because of the unbearable pain, but then the object that he took from the dead body fell out of his pocket. when he looked at the object, information popped out on his sight...

Object Name: Timer

Object's Use: If you press the red button the timer will start in 10 seconds before it explodes (this can kill you too so be careful using it! )

Kyra was surprised of what he saw that made his eyes even wider, then he quickly took the object and again he tried his best to stand up but he didn't get to stand anymore because his legs that have been stabbed hurts a lot and he cannot feel the pain before because he was too focused on the demon. Kyra didn't get to stand again he just sat there and while he was sitting, the badly injured demon charged at him again. Kyra pressed the button then the counting started.

Kyra tried to analyze when will he throw the cube so he can kill the badly injured demon...

he was just hoping that the object he just took would work like how it was explained.

the demon once again approached Kyra but when the demon got a little closer, Kyra threw a lot of rocks towards the demons face to distract it. Surprisingly the demon was distracted by it dodging and deflecting the rocks as if it knows how dangerous what Kyra is throwing away at him. Kyra was able to notice that the demon knew what he was throwing away but this didn't stop Kyra from throwing a lot of rocks again. When Kyra threw rocks once again but this time Kyra threw the rocks with the cube on it. There were only 3 seconds left before it explodes 3,2,1 then the demon saw this in front of his face the number 1 turning to 0 in slow motion then "BOOM!!!!!!!"

The demon's face shoulder stomach was thrown to different places when the cube exploded. The demons foot was the only thing that was left standing there while the remaining parts and organs of the body were blown to different places. Kyra smirked and sighed in relief then muttered to himself that he was lucky to have that object, Kyra thought of the actions he made just now and asked to himself that what if he threw only the cube earlier and with no rocks, the demon could have probably dodged it and could have even deflected it but then he stopped thinking about it and just glad he is still alive.

But then suddenly Kyra was feeling hot inside his body like they are surging up, the feeling was so relaxing and calming, and when it stopped information popped out on his sight.

Kyra was confused at first but when he looked at his body all of his injuries were gone like an instant and feels like he's stronger than before. Then the system talked, please say status to see your strength and more of yourself.

Kyra was hesitant at first to say status but said status later on because he was curious and confused about what is going on.

Dragon's Eye.

Kyra was confused on how the words are popping out of his view but he stopped worrying about it while the words disappeared on his view and got even more cautious, then he looked at his surroundings if someone is trying to kill him again and when he looked at his surroundings he saw people a little far away from his place and a lot of mountain rocks all over the place. Kyra tried to look at up the sky and he saw a lot of lands floating up the sky and there were some roads connected in every land to go up there but it looks like it's a long journey. the surrounding got less noisy and the chaos that is happening around are disappearing slowly, a lot of humans are gathering and teaming up to kill their opponents like monsters and creatures that are popping out of nowhere, including humans.

Kyra also noticed their expressions and faces that they were also confused about what is going on and scared. He also saw all of their status like level and how many skills they have on top of them, a lot of them were level 1 and some of them were level 2 there were also a lot of people killing their teammates and betraying them just so they could steal and get more ability and weapons like Kyra got before from the enemies of he killed. Kyra also guessed the reason why he was attacked by the man before was that they were trying to kill him so they could get weapons and abilities over his dead body. But then he didn't care anymore and focused more on what he should do next.

He checked the dead body of the demon if something came out of his body like the dead body of the man before and surprisingly there was.

He then approached the object that is glowing blue colors while floating, he was curious what object this time he will get. When he was finally about to grab the floating object, the object surprisingly was absorbed by his body. Then a word popped out of his sight saying that he has acquired a new skill called......

Kyra was kind of surprised by what skills he had acquired and got curious what is the limit of the skill and how does it work, but then suddenly he noticed that his hands were glowing white and slowly disappearing. The next thing he knew was when he opened his eyes he saw a lot of people in front of him and their faces were showing that they were all terrified of what just happened and confused. Kyra was finally able to realize that he is in the crowd and more people keep appearing out of nowhere in the place.

Then suddenly a cute little looking fairy appeared out of nowhere up the sky. the surrounding was put into silence and the atmosphere got even heavier, then the fairy suddenly said that she was really disappointed to see that out of 236 beings that were chosen only 67 survived then she slowly smiled in front of them with a sinister face. While Kyra observed the people's expressions and faces they were looking at the fairy with a terrified face and an angry face. When Kyra was done observing the people and his surroundings, he continued to look at the fairy again but when he looked at her she started talking and made the atmosphere even heavier than before.

Congratulations on surviving! the fairy said while grinning with a sinister face.

Then started to once talk again, all of you beings might be asking why all of you are still alive when you already died. The answer is simple its because you lowly beings were given a chance to be reincarnated or to be revived, you pitiful beings were lucky and at the same time unlucky because some livings who died were chosen to be reincarnated or just disappeared to nothingness. But all of you were chosen and given a chance whether to die again or be revived, or it might be anything, but there is a price to pay to be revived again and it's just simple. All of you just need to climb up to the highest floor without dying to be revived again! but then a man interrupted her by shouting and asking where the heck they are and why would the heck they want to be here. A lot of people played along with the guy who started and also started shouting too but then the fairy snapped her finger and all of the people who were shouting and asking her got their heads exploding. Then the fairy told them that they shouldn't interrupt her when she is talking while giving a sinister and murderous vibe. The people were put into silence and shivers went through their spine, even Kyra was shocked and can't move because of what he just witnessed in front of him, what a horrendous sight he said to himself. Then the fairy once again continued her speech. So what was I saying again? oh right you bunch of pieces of crap just needs to go through this door and continue your journey and good luck. Then the fairy snapped her finger again and their surroundings began to tear apart and all they could hear was their ground shaking, after that Kyra realized that they were inside of a flying box and what they were stepping on was not a glass nor anything but some sort of like an invisible force like a barrier. But then the ground started shaking even more and it looks like a huge door is coming out of the ground in front of them and when the shaking was gone the people only hear their heartbeats and curious but at the same time trembling and scared of what is going to happen next and what is beyond that door. Every single one of them can't flinch nor even move while the door gave a chilling and sinister atmosphere in front of all of them and everyone felt a horrendous fear throughout this door. Then suddenly other people started crying because they were tired of what is going on and some of them started going insane then started banging their heads on the floor but a lot of people tried to calm them down as best as they could and tried their best to calm down themselves too. After that, the people who were courageous enough started walking towards the door to open and push it even though they were scared of what is inside beyond that door or what is coming. Kyra gulped his saliva and prepared himself what is about to come. Then the door slowly opened and a light shined through their faces. Then people started walking and went inside the door. Kyra also started doing the same but he checked the fairy first if she was still there and Kyra saw her talking to a woman that looks like in her 20's after that the fairy stopped talking and grinned at them with a sinister face and said good luck surviving for the last time then disappeared. Kyra didn't care anymore and just continued walking towards the mysterious door while expecting for the worse and best that has yet to come.

(I changed the main characters name because his name doesn't make sense so his new name is Kyra and I've also fixed some of my grammars I hope u enjoyed it)
